Education and Training: Roles, Responsibilities, Legislation Report

Introduction
Education and training both components keep an important place
in a person's life because with the help of this, skills or
knowledge are gained by an individual by which he or she
becomes able to perform any kind of work or job (Guasch,
Alvarez and Espasa, 2010).
 This project is based on Imperial College which is situated in
London. It is a public research University

Own roles and responsibilities in education
and training
Motivate to learners- One of the prime role of mine is to
motivate to learners so that they will get success in their career
by developing their personal, social and professionals skills or
knowledge (Darling-Hammond, 2010).

Planning- In this, my role will be as an organiser in which I
will be responsible for designing various kinds of courses as per
learners' requirements (Cant and Cooper, 2010).
 Delivery- As a teacher or mentor, I have responsibility to
ensure that how education can be provided to the learners so
that they can move towards the way of success.

Identification of needs- I am also obliged for identifying needs
of learners so that education or training can be provided to them
as per their requirements so that they will get success in their life
(Brown, Bull and Pendlebury, 2013). In this, I will play a role of
curriculum developer.

Enforcement of organisational policies- It is one of the main
responsibility of mine is to implement organisational policies and
procedures so that everyone will behave in disciplined manner
and will contribute on getting success (Darling-Hammond,
2010.).

Code of professional practice- It is very helpful in being a good
professional. In present changing in the environment, to become
a professional is more complex and important so for updating
with changing, it is required that all standards should be met by
an individual for becoming a good teacher (Guasch, Alvarez and Espasa,
2010.).

 Equality and diversity act 2010- This legislation is very
important for a tutor because it helps in identifying and
delivering services as per needs of learners.
Data Protection Act 1998- As per this legislation, no
professional has right to provide confidential information of their
students to any one (Strijbos and Sluijsmans, 2010.).

Health and Safety At Work Act 1974- As per this act,
organisational policies should contain rules and regulations
regarding safety of employees so that they can perform their job
effectively (Cant and Cooper, 2010).

Relationship and boundaries between
teaching roles and other professionals roles
Every tutor is required to maintain proper standards while
providing their services and complete their responsibilities
towards learners, peer group and organisation (Darling-Hammond,
2010.).

Job description- For performing their job effectively and
efficiently, it is necessary that tutor should be cleared about their
roles and responsibilities so that they can perform their job as per
specified standards (Guasch, Alvarez and Espasa, 2010). .

Support of student- In order to get success, it is very necessary
that learners should provide their full support to their tutors so
that they can provide proper education or knowledge to them
(Cant and Cooper, 2010.).

Line of communication- It is a very important part which should
be lined up properly (Darling-Hammond, 2010.). If professionals
will not communicate properly with their clients then it will
create barrier in their success.

Time- It is another element which should be followed by every
professional (Brown, Bull and Pendlebury, 2013). That means tutor
should be punctual so that his learners can become disciplined
and will respect to their time.

Personal boundaries-
Confidence- It is one of the most important part which should be
exist in every person for being a successful professional (Cant and
Cooper, 2010.). If tutor will not gave confidence then he will not be
able to convince to his learners.
