INTRODUCTION
Teaching and learning is defined as the process of the transformation process of the
knowledge from the educators to the students. Education is considered as very important part
which contributes in the development of the person which also help in achieving their career
goals. Over the past many years it has been observed that with the advancement in the
technology has resulted innovation of new and effective methods which helps in providing
effective learning to the students helps in increasing the understanding of the teacher through
which they can deliver the best knowledge through the application of such knowledge(Albiladi,
and Alshareef, 2019).
With the of effective knowledge and understand will help in the development of the
society as they will be aware about the environment. For the development of the knowledge of
the students, educators used various methods and techniques as per the requirements of the
students and give lessons accordingly(Schlesselman, 2020). In the changing world it is
necessary that an individual should have required knowledge and understanding which helps in
achieving the objectives and helps in building communication which is necessary in order to
survive and achieve their career goals.
In order to engage in the process of learning it very necessary to have required and
understanding of this process. Learning can be defined as the act of getting experience ,
knowledge and skill and it also helps in bringing various changes in the existing behaviour of the
students and helps in gaining more knowledge which contributes in their development .It has
been also observed there are various learning styles and every student has their own such as
auditory, visual, reading and writing and Kinesthetic . With the help of this it helps the students
to easily interpret the concepts and make further improvement accordingly. On the other hand it
is the responsibility of the teachers to analyse the learning needs and requirements of the students
and make further lesson plan accordingly which help in building effective communication which
enable the students to ask the teacher the queries related to the chapter which helps in resolving
the problems.
It has ben observed that various contemporary issues are faced by the teachers. It can be
said that there should be effective communication among the students and educators which helps
in effectively understand the learning requirements of the students that in results help in
delivering the required knowledge to the students(Hofer, and et.al., 2021). The present report is

Overview of the topic
This section is based on the lesson plan that is to be designed by me as a teacher and the
topic selected is on the “Health and Safety” in order to create awareness about the health and
safety that is to be maintained by the student(Isaev, and Astasheva, 2018,). With the help of
lesson plan it will help in creating more awareness and responsibility among the students which
can be followed throughout their life and increase their knowledge.

There are five types of theories of learning :

Contemporary issues in learning is defined as the present issues that is affecting learning of the
students and is becoming a problem which restrict their growth and development in order to
pursue their career in the future . The contemporary issues can be justified with the help of
behaviourism theory that focuses on experimental and observation . It also focuses on the idea
that all behaviours are learned through interaction and communication with the people and other
students (Hammad, and et.al., 2020).The major issues faced by the educator is that if there is
lack of communication and interaction with the students will impact their learning. If the teacher
is not able to understand the students needs and requirements in learning will result into negative
impact on the learning of the students and hence it is necessary to understand the needs of the
students which can be accomplished through effectively communicating with the students and
listening to them. On the other hand negative attitude of the students can also become major
issues which can become barrier in the learning and teaching practices.
On the other hand it is observed that every student have their own learning styles which
can be classified into visual, auditory, reading and writing and Kinesthetic. The teacher while
designing the lesson plan has to consider the learning style of the students which helps them to
better understand the topics that is discussed in the session . The issues faced by the teacher is
the that it consumes more time to design the lesson plan as per the learning style of every
student. The challenges faced by the educator is to create favourable working environment in
order to make the student comfortable and help in understand the topics discussed according to
their learning styles which makes the students easily understand and enhance their
knowledge(Costa, and et.al., 2020).
On the other hand teaching is not considered as easy task and requires lot of practice for
developing the knowledge of the students(Malmi, and et.al., 2020). It is necessary to overcome

student. In order to enhance the development of the students , educator makes their continuous
efforts and use various techniques and methods which helps in developing the knowledge and

2018). In order to provide better knowledge and understanding I focused on identifying the needs
and different learning styles of the students and evaluated the same and create the lesson plan
accordingly which helped in enhancing their understanding and also help in improving their
skills. Furthermore, with the help of various tools and techniques I focused on providing students
with better quality education regarding the topic which has helped me to know more about the
students which helps in further planning the lesson plan accordingly. Furthermore, with the help
of this I also understood new and advanced teaching practices and methods that can be adopted
which helps in the development of the student.
SECTION -2 Patient education, patient and carer participation and involvement in teaching,
learning and assessment
Patient education refers to the planned interactive process that is designed and introduced
by the health care practitioners in order to support and manage their life and also care about the
illness. It is also referred to as the procedures which helps in influencing the behaviours of the
patients and provide knowledge and provide training in order to develop the necessary skills in
order to improve the health of the patients(Heng, and et.al., 2020). The main purpose of
providing training which can assist the service provider to provide necessary information and
remind the patients and educate the patients about proper measures and ways to self manage care

and avoid the negative outcomes which can cause negative impact on their health. With the help
of the information provided will help in managing their health and can improve their health in
the future and prevent form any disease or problems in the future.
In order to execute such plan it is necessary that there should be involvement of the
patients during the session and its also necessary to maintain effective and strong relationship
with the patients that will help in providing better instructions that will help to achieve the
objective of patient education which will contribute in improving their health and also create
awareness for the future(Wittink, and Oosterhaven, 2018). Furthermore, the benefits of patients
education leads to better patient satisfaction with the service providers and with this it also
results into increase in the compliance of the various treatment plans which can help the patients
to reduce their overall cost of the treatment if the necessary education is provided to them. It has
been observed that within the developed countries it has been observed that involvement of the
patients and carers has become one of the most important aspect in the healthcare sector. The
major purpose behind this is to ensure healthcare delivery and also educate the patients so that
they can manage their health easily(van der Wees, and et.al., 2019). In order to implement this it
is necessary to listen to the problems of the patients and find effective ways in order to
implement strategies in order to fulfil the needs and requirements of the patients. The another
benefit of patient and carer involvement in the health care education includes various
opportunities in order to influence the healthcare program. Patient, Care and Public Involvement
(PCPI) that is one of the healthcare related program which helps in developing the knowledge ,
understanding and various skills of the students. With the help of this the students will gain the
understanding about the various medical conditions of the patients which also help in
implementing various solution to solve the patients problems so that they self-manage about their
health(Phelan, and et.al., 2020). This programme was implemented in 2014 and currently have
170 PCPI participants. In this programme the participants are provided training which helps in
increasing their knowledge which help in providing effective services to its students.
Patient involvement refers to the participation of the patients in various decision-making
or where they can effectively express their opinion regarding the various treatment methods. It
is important to support the patient involvements in the healthcare needs help in improving their
health as after getting the training and education will help in self managing about their health
which will result in to generating positive outcomes and less cost will be incurred.

According to Bergerum, and et.al., (2019) it has been observed that during the patient
involvement it has bee noted that it is very necessary to identify the health and personal need of
the patients as it will help in understanding their health related problems and covey the solutions
which can be beneficial for the patients in their treatment. On the other hand Rowland, and et.al.,
(2019)It should be kept in mind that with the help of implementing various strategies and plan
will help in achieving the goals but can also face various challenges which can be and issue
when undertaking the program.
In order to overcome the issues that can cause hindrance in the patient involvement it is
necessary top find possible solution to the problems that includes it is necessary for engaging the
patients in the safety improvement which helps the patients to become proactive and minimize
the harm that can cause in the self-care. In order to deliver this solution it is necessary for the
healthcare institutions to provide various information and education to the patients and health
providers which helps in contributing tin overcoming the problem that is faces by the patients
regarding their health.
According to Bolz-Johnson, Meek, and Hoogerbrugge, (2020) with the help of
involvement of the patient in healthcare and education will results into generating improved
health outcomes as they will be provided with all the information regarding their current health
conditions and can take necessary steps in order to manage their health problems and reduce the
costs on the treatments. But on the contrary Skovlund, and et.al., (2020)viewed that it has been
observed that although patients are provided with the necessary information, but they still can
face various problems including the self managing the health related issues. According to
Doekhie, and et.al., (2018) it also provides with various health related services which can be
helpful for the patients to improve their health and take necessary measures in order to reduce the
after effects.
From the above analysis I have realized the importance of patient participation and
involvement that is necessary in order to educate the patients regarding the medical health
condition. I have realized that people become more aware about their health conditions and take
precautionary steps to avoid any problem in the future. Apart from, this I also gained a lot of
knowledge and identified some aspects that is necessary for the execution of the health and
patient related programs. With the help of this study it has enhanced by knowledge about the
importance of educating the patients as it can be helpful inn achieving the objectives and also

can be helpful their growth, development and career growth(Gunner, and et.al., 2020). With the
help of innovative learning and teaching will not only help in enhancing the knowledge of the
student as but also help in building the teaching skills of the educator.
Healthcare in education helps the teacher to adopt various new and advanced
technologies which helps in enhancing the knowledge area of the students and provide them with
greater opportunities to learn new things. It has been observed that with the increase in the
technology it has resulted into various organisation and sectors adopted new systems and
software in their management in order to provide efficient services(Islam, 2021). Technological
advancement in the healthcare sectors has also increased with the installation of new and
advanced machineries which will help in providing numerous opportunities for improving the
healthcare and making transformation in the healthcare industry which includes fewer errors ,
facilitating the care coordination. The technologies used in the healthcare industry will help in
tracking the data and information of the patients and also provide effective treatments. With the
help of the technology in the healthcare help to track the data and history of the patients and also
help in reducing the costs that is incurred in the treatment of the patients. But on the contrary it is
observed that with the use of new technology in the hospitals more cost is incurred as they
provide effective results which helps in improving the medical situation of the patients.
Technology Enhanced Learning(TEL)
With the advancement in the technology every company operating in education and
healthcare industry has enabled the organisation to install new and advanced technologies in its
systems in order to enhance their learning which increase the knowledge and understanding and
also develop the skills which helps in development of the students and also provide effective
services in the healthcare sector (Daniela, and et.al.,2018). TEL refers to the technology that is
used by the institutions in order to enhance the knowledge and learning experience. In order to

educational institutions have introduced various new programs which helps in enhancing the
learning of the students with the helps of use of advance technology. Due to pandemic the scope
of online learning has increased which has enabled the students to gain knowledge from any
locations .On the other hand it has helped to improve the communication as it has filled the gaps
between the learning of the students .
With the changes in the technology it has resulted in to creation of new and advanced
methods such as experimental learning which refers to the process of learning by doing the

considered as the major factor which is considered as an issues in the education sector.
Innovation: It has been observed that innovation in education is related to the technology as it
depends upon the educator what type of technology and software used by the institutions but
there has been various issues faced by the educator in teaching and learning which is lack of
proper guidance or experience person which helps in providing education which enhanced the
learning of the students in the education sector(Mazzucato, 2018).
Inter professional education is widely used concepts and also pedagogical approach
which helps in preparing the students and also health care practitioners in order to provide
collaborative and proper care to the patients. It has been observed that when people work in
cooperation helps in delivering effective work and services to the patients. This can an issue in
the healthcare sector which can be due to various reasons such as lack of resources, support and
lack of educational programs relevant to Inter professional education(de Nooijer, Dolmans, and
Stalmeijer, 2022). This issue can also arise because of lack of coordination of experience and
financial resources which can results into various issues in this regard.
