INTRODUCTION
This reflection report is going to be enclosed with effectiveness of team building skills, at
the time of attaining a particular goal. Also, report will focus on the conceptual team building
theory, which is required by every single individual at the time of working with a team
(Mazzarol, and Reboud, 2020).
MAIN BODY
Experience of working with a team
During building a team so that effective term members can be made part of team who can
work together in order to achieve the goals of team in an efficient manner and within the
stipulated time and budget I used various team building skills. These skills are important to be
used so that the team which is formed can work together and collaborate their work in such a
manner that the goals of team are achieved effectively (Mazzarol and Reboud, 2020). The
various team building skills which helped me in formation of an effective team are
communication skills, problem solving skills, motivation, effective delegation of work among
members, leadership etc. so the the goals are achieved in a desired manner. With the help of
communication I was able to integrate the work of all employees by delegating their roles and
responsibilities depending on their talents. Through effective communication the flow of
information in team was made efficient which helped in updating the team members and also
delivering them the message on how they have to perform their work and what direction they
have to choose. This helped in increasing the trust of members in me which proved to be
effective in directing their work.
According to Vartika Kashyap, (2018), in order to build an effective team efficient team
building skills are important so that their work can be integrated in order to achieve the goals. I
realised this fact when I used these skills myself when dealing with the team so that they can be
motivated to work in a particular manner. Motivation skills helped me in encouraging the
members to use their talents in effective completion of work so that their satisfaction with team
can be increased and they can use their full potential in achieving team goals. Leadership style
also play an important role in managing, controlling and monitoring the work of members which
is why it is important that effective style is chosen. I used participative leadership so that the
members can be included while making decisions so that they can be encouraged to participate in

team activities. This also helped in improving decision making as the ideas and opinions of
members helped in taking effective decisions which were useful in solving problems that were to
be solved by the team.
A per the views of Brianna Hansen, (2017), the team building exercises need that group
activities are promoted in organisation so that the work can be efficiently collaborated which can
help in achieving team goals. Delegation of work among members must be done based on the
capabilities of members so that they can perform the work at hand in a desired manner. Thus I
was capable of using all these skills in an efficient manner so that effective team can be formed
and the team members can be encouraged to perform better. These skills helped me in improving
my ability top work in team and also lead the members in a manner that they can be effectively
directed on achieving team objectives.
Tuckman's Teamwork Theory
This is one of the crucial teamwork theory, that shows particular working capability of an
individual at the time of working with a team in relation to different small group behaviour, from
several perspectives (Surendran and Kumar, 2020). I have utilised this theory, as it consists of
four different stages, which may help me in looking among different aspects while working with
the team in order to attain a specific goal.
Forming: This is being considered as primal stage, where it will be required by me to
focus on this phase as one of the crucial one because at the time of attaining a specific goal, it is
pretty much required to understand abilities of every single individual who is particularly
working within the team. With the help of this, I became able to serve the best to all the team
members, like I assigned the right task to correct person which also helped me in attaining the
goal right on time. Also, this was the stage where me and my team members were understood
each other, which direct aid me in grabbing the good position within the team as all the
individuals understood my behaviour and my capability as well.
Storming: This is considered to be the second and another crucial stage where, me and
my team mates started feeling that they are also a part of team. With the help of this, I also
become able to challenging capabilities of my own and of others as well as a team leader and
through this, I effectively improvised my own performance and of my team, which pushed us
towards the specific goal, that was taken into consideration.

Norming: At this phase, all the team members including me started the whole phase of
planning, where we developed processes, established a number of rules in relation to how every
single activity will be done. Also, I assigned jobs and tasks to individuals based on their inner
skills and capabilities, which motivated them towards working together.
Performing: Final and the last stage, which helped the whole team members to go
through different risks and develop appropriate relations with each other through performing
tasks in both simultaneous and in group structure. I analysed that, reaching to this stage directly
enhanced the overall performance level of my own and of all the team members as well. This
impacted positively and positioned us to reach to the final goal.
Henceforth, it is pretty much clear that considering this theory which is described above
has helped particularly to attain the final goal in specific time frame which was considered as a
deadline to attain the desired goal (Xu, 2020).
CONCLUSION
With the help of above mentioned report, it is concluded that with the help of Tuckman's
teamwork theory, a group could effectively enhance their performance level in much effective
and in efficient manner as well. Also, developing the team building, a group could effectively
reach to an all new level of attaining the desired common goal.
