Answer to Question (a)
The five stage model of team development was developed by Tuckman on the basis of
team dynamics. These five stages i.e. forming, storming, norming, performing and adjourning
are vital for any team to grow and produce higher quality results. On the other hand, the
punctuated equilibrium model by Gersick highlights that this model is not only effective for
in group development but also in other organisational studies. Tuckman's model does the best
job to outline the evolution of team (Hall 2015).
Answer to Question (b)
There are certain situational factors which affects the team development process. The
positive factors are that there are very less members in a team and those members are
involved in the project till the completion. The negative factor is that the team members are
responsible only to the project managers and they located within certain area. To overcome
the negative factor, the group has to improve its communication mode and there must be
different project managers according to their expertise (Graham & Smith, 2016).
Answer to Question (c)
The group made many informal communication with the team members and this has
helped them in the development of the project. The project managers allotted the task to the
team members according to their expertise. The group did not provide scope to the members
to get acquainted with the project. It should develop this areas on further development(Hall
2015).
