Executive Summary
This report had depicted the project for developing an effective team for Westin Hotel. The
report had showed that the project has been aimed at inspiring, motivating and engaging
employees to develop positive working environment. The vision of the organization is
development of a positive working environment by empowering the employees. Westin Hotel
had been promoting high productivity and consumer satisfaction as the major values
including innovative processes for training the employees. The major purpose of team
building would be enhancing the performance of the workers individually and collectively.
Westin Hoteling being a 4 star hotel have been wanting to make progress by changing it to a
5 star hotel. In order to achieve this process, developing an effective team is essential and
effective workforce is an important way of improving organizational sustainability,
profitability and growth. The turnover rate in different organizations in the hospital industry
had been high and engaging the employees to develop a more connected work place. Team
engagement had also been essential in developing similar values among the employees within
the organization. Therefore, the organization had been developing project for improving the
team building capabilities of the organization. A charter had been prepared where the
different team members, deliverables and activities have been developed for carrying out the
project. The main aim of the project had been carrying out the task successfully by
developing a collaborative environment where the hotel would be upgraded to 5 star
facilities. The factors that had been taken into account are cost constraints, deadlines and
objectives of the project. The number of room have to be increased to 150 and provide
additional facilities to improve guest performance. The team would have to be proactive
where they would share innovative ideas of improving the experiences of the consumers in
the hotel. The different stakeholders of the projects are Student Allen Pan and Joey Yang –
