INTRODUCTION
Project management is the process that carries a range of stages like initiating, planning,
executing, controlling, and closing of a particular project that was developed to attain a specified
goals within a particular time frame1. This report is going to be enclosed with strengths and
weaknesses of project team. Along with this, a particular conflict has also been manifested.
Lastly, Earned Value Management and Crashing Projects have also been developed in it.
PART 1
2. Three strengths of project team
On the project i.e. Mohimohi, in which I have worked with the team members, I found
that there were many key strengths that has helped me and my team mates in meeting desired
goal and in order to meet ultimate success. But, vital most key strengths that came in front of my
project team are presented underneath:
1. Good Judgement and Prioritization Abilities : I have analysed that, all the team mates
had these skills (good judgement and prioritising ability) that could be considered as a
strength. Focusing on this, success of the project which my team has got can be expressed
with a good example, where me and my team mates had different perceptions while
developing the Project's Risk Management Plan & Risk Matrix. Since, there was no
communication gap and with intellectual mindset, every single individual of project team
has agreed on a common perspectives and reached to the break even point of prioritising
the tasks.
2. Empowers Individuals on the Team : Another key strength, which has helped me and
my team in taking own decisions in order to remove all the dilemmas and complete the
tasks, that were assigned. If it is talked about success of the project, what I found over
here is, that every single team mate had the power of making determinations. This
motivated them and filled with enthusiasm, which developed interest of completing the
given tasks in specified time frame.
3. Risk Management Insights : I have analysed that in every single project, uncertainties
stays present. In the same way, my team members and I was also going through a range

of issues like settling down the project's budget and while developing working schedule.
With the help of risk management insights, me and the team members has found the
number of risks that were linked with the Mohimohi project. This directly helped in
reducing the chances of project to get irrelevant or less effective results2.
3. Three weaknesses of project team
While developing the project, which is Mohimohi I have found that there were many
situations that came in front, that affected the success of every single task linked with it like
delay in performance level and so on. This all has happened due a number of weaknesses that the
dedicated project team (me and my team mates) of Mohimohi was having and these are
presented underneath: Creativity: I have analysed that, creativity is something that is required in every single
phase. While developing the project i.e. Mohimohi, the problem which me and the team
members were having was creativity. In order to meet this weakness, it will be required
for me and the whole team to make extra efforts while executing a task3. Delegating Tasks: Distributing tasks among others would be considered as something,
that has affected my own performance and on others as well. I found that there were
situations came in front where, I did not knew that to whom, the task should be given.
This could be resolved through communicating with team mates so that right task can be
given to correct individual of team in order to meet success of project in much effective
and efficient manner.
Being too critical of other people’s work: What I found is, thinking in much more
critical sense in regards to what other team members are performing related to project
may bring confusions and conflicts among them. This has happened among Mohimohi's
project team as well. This weakness of the team, made the whole project less effective
where it was expected that all the tickets will be sold. But, due to this weakness only half
of the tickets were sold out. This could be resolved through giving the opportunity to

others so that they could make understand (effective communication strategy) the whole
team, related to why he has taken this decision.
4. One instance wherein conflict was manifested during the project
development process
At the time when project development process of Mohimohi was developed, me and my
team mates have reached to a point where a conflict came in front. Basically, the conflict was
related to Project and Stakeholder Relationship where all the individuals within the team carried
different range of perceptions in regards to what stakeholders should be given with high, medium
and low prioritise4. Here, I have utilised compromising conflict management strategy and has
been taken into consideration in order to reduce the impact of conflict, which took place on the
project named as Mohimohi. The reason behind considering this approach was, that every single
team member was having equal powers, in regards to making decisions for their own and for
project as well. This has resulted positively where negotiation among team members has brought
them again on track where they started performing on the same goal, which is fund raising for
children who requires love from father.
PART 2
5. Four steps of the general model of the Project Control Cycle
Considering one of the vital most project deliverable i.e. Event Marketing of this project,
where promotion is going to be performed in order to spread information to residing individuals.
This would aid in spreading the awareness among locals. In order to understand this in-depth,
Project Control Cycle has been taken into consideration and these are presented underneath:
Initiating: This phase of the project control cycle, helps in identifying the basic
requirement of a particular project. In present context, need will be the initiated of Event
Marketing where objectives and aim are going to be developed.
Planning : This will be the phase, where all the things related to Event Marketing
program will be identified like scope, schedule and cost. Without this phase, goal cannot be

attained right on time. Along with this, resource planning and vendor contracts will be also be
done in order to promote the event5.
Execution: Third stage, where execution of the plan is going to be executed in much
effective and efficient manner. Along side this, this is the phase where all the elements like cost
and other elements are basically implemented, so that ultimate goal could effectively be attained.
Monitoring & Controlling : At this section, recording of the overall situation would
take place, where different sorts of tools will be utilised like continuous improvement plan and
so on. Through this, all the action would be developed in order to meet the requirements of
event.
Closure : After all the actions, that will be taken into consideration would directly aid in
meeting all the requirements, just by looking at the desired goal, where if everything is achieved
or not whichever project manager has desired for.
6. Earned Value Management
Earned Value Management (EVM) can be defined as the administration related activities
done by project managers in order to measure project performance. Along with this, there two
types of EVM present in today's environment, that can be used and these are : Cost Performance
Index and Schedule performance Index and both of them are comprehended underneath: Cost Performance Index: CPI is basically calculated through dividing attained worth
from cost, which has been carried out as the actual one. It has been analysed, efficiency
level stays high, like if it comes at 1 or more, than required actions needed to be taken by
project manager in order to control the project in much effective and efficient manner.
This is being considered as the analysis, which stays related to cost of the project. In
present context, cost performance index, would aid in building the estimation with the
help of using continuous improvement process. This will aid in enhancing the capacity of
project and reduce the cost as well6.
Schedule Performance Index: Basically, this type of index is associated with
progression rate that a project carries while comparing with formulated schedule. In

present context, project management is going to be implemented in regards to project
estimation and it will value towards the Mohimohi project to see if the whole process is
taking appropriate place or not.
7. Crashing Projects
Project crashing, is something that is used to reduce the time frame of overall path of
particular project. In present context, purpose behind finding out a crashing point that has been
developed carries a range of exercises that could guarantee achievement of Project in specified
time frame, however the critical time-frame may outperform the whole project.
CONCLUSION
With the help of above mentioned report, it is being concluded that focusing upon every
single factor of a particular project that could effectively be gained in specified time frame.
