The different things which can be gathered from the case study are that in a group there are people with
different mindsets and working patterns who are put together to ideate and produce a great piece of
work. If one has to work in the group or want the group to work in a tandem, one has to not only make
himself a part of the group but make others come to a common group to finish the work at time. Also, it
is sometimes seen that there are only few people in the group who tend to work and others are mostly
the freeloaders. Hence, a proper balance so that no one person is stressed in extremely important in
group work. (Breckman, 2008)
The way how the conflicts in the group can be resolved are:
1. Try making a timeline for all the work that has to be done i.e. set milestones that by which date what
work will be completed.
2. Ideate together and discuss all the possibilities by having team meeting where everyone has equal
right to hear and to be heard.
3. Bifurcate the work so that everyone is responsible of their part of the work and has to submit it in a
particular time frame (de & Dowd, 2018).
The take away from this case is that in a group work it becomes extremely important to listen to the
ideas as well as the woes of all the team members. (Sood, 2019) Every team member should be given
equal work and equal chances of completing it and there should be timelines and submissions which
should be respected by everyone. The team should always be together in times of good and even when
they are facing backlash for their work. A work will only be considered as best, if the team always
remains together.
