“The Importance of Teamwork in the workplace”
Teamwork is related with the group of the employees who are working together towards the
goals and objectives of the company. It is necessary for the higher authorities to emphasize on
boosting the teamwork in the workplace. If there are effective teams in the workplace then it
would b possible to attain the positive outcome. Teamwork can also be stated as the collaborative
efforts that are made by the employees so that the common goals can be attained. This is one of
the essential factor on which the companies should emphasize as it also affect the market share in
the highly competitive market. In this paper, the discussion will be made on the topic
“Importance of teamwork”.
It can be stated that if companies focuses on the teamwork then it would be easy for them to
solve the complex issues. There are many cases that arise in the workplace in which individuals
are not able to solve the complex problems, so at this time teamwork plays a significant role in
solving the issues that are complex in nature. So, it can be stated that one of the importance
relates with the solving the complex situations with the teamwork. The importance of the
teamwork is to offer the different perspectives and feedback. The good team structure offers the
company with the diversified thoughts, creativity and also the opportunities (Betta, 2016).
If there is proper team in the workplace then it allows the employees to brainstorm collectively
that also boost the success of the overall activities of the company. Effective teams in offers the
employees a chance to be innovate and also it can help them in maintaining the competitive edge
which helps in attaining the set goals. When the different opinions and views are shared among
the employees then it has been seen that it strengthens the overall accountability and also assist
in making effective decisions (Lantz Friedrich, Sjöberg and Friedrich, 2016).
Teamwork efforts enhance the overall productivity by considering the feedback of the higher
authorities and also it consists of the multiple set of skills that also support the overall work of
the organization. Through teamwork it would be possible for the companies to focus on
designing, planning and also at the implementation of the techniques which are given by the
other people. Teamwork also assist the managers to offers to give feedback on the work which is
done by the group of the individuals, so it does not create conflict between the people as the
feedback is given to the team and not on the personal basis. So, it can be stated that teamwork is

With the help of teamwork it could be easy to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the
employees. At the time of considering the effective teamwork strategies it has been seen that
efficiency of the employees can be enhanced in a proper manner. The reason behind this is that it
allows the overall work load faced by the employees to be shared among the other team members
present in the workplace. It has been observed that teamwork can assist in attaining the goals that
should be attained by the company but it helps in proper utilization of the resources which is one
of the effective ways that can help the overall activities of the company through teamwork. It has
been analyzed that by division of the work the employee’s focuses on giving their best that at last
boost the overall level of productivity in the highly competitive business world. So, it is
important for the management to emphasize on building the team so that the efficiency towards
the work of the employees can be enhanced (O’Leary, 2016).
Teamwork is the method that offer great learning opportunities to the other employees and also
one employee can learn easily with the other mistakes. It can be stated that errors can be reduced
if the work is done in teamwork. It is important for the employees to focus on building the teams
so that new things can be learned. The employees who are present in the workplace can easily
enhance the skills and also gather the new ideas that can help in completing the task in an
effective manner. This also focuses on active engagement that can be generated with the future
articulation and also it maintains the innovative capacity to the resolve the issues and to generate
more ideas that can boost the work efficiency and effectiveness (Mesmer-Magnus et al., 2017).
Synergy is also the factor that can be enhanced with the help of teamwork. The mutual support of
the shared goals, cooperation offers the synergy in the workplace. When the team members know
about the responsibilities ad roles then it could be easy for them to rely on the rest of the
employees in the team. It can be seen that when there are other team members then it helps to
share the goals, values and also vision. The overall outcome that is created relates with the
workplace environment that focuses on the fellowship and also on the trust. The stages of team
building focus on the different aspects such as forming, storming, norming and performing.
These are the stages that are considered at the time of building of the team and this helps in
maintaining the overall synergy among the team members (Salas et al., 2015).

has been examined that when the employees are divided into teams then there are many non
performers who are motivated and they generate a willingness to work towards the overall
activities of the company. Motivation is one of the essential factors that should be present among
the employees as it helps in accomplishing the set goals and objective. So, it can be stated that
there many non performers who are converted into the performers of the company by dividing
the employees into the team (Miner, 2015).
By analyzing the paper, it can be concluded that teamwork has a significant role in maintaining
coordination among the members of the team. If there is no teamwork in the workplace then it
can create difficulty for the other employees to give their best towards the organizational
activities. Through teamwork the impact can be seen on coordination, efficiency productivity
ratio and also with the motivation level of the employees. To compete with the other competitors
present in the market it is necessary for the management to emphasize on proper division of the
teams so that positive results can be attained. It also helps in accomplish the set targets that are
given by the higher authority. So, it can be said that teamwork should be there so that the
company can easily work according to the set mission and values.
