INTRODUCTION
Schools and colleges can be describe as the learning organisation that is helpful in
enhancing learning practices of students (Nasta, 2017). This type of organisation have
systematic process in which teachers are providing knowledge and understanding about various
topics. This will support student to gain more information about various fields that will help
learner in future growth. Schools and colleges has creative environment which is developed for
enhancing social networks that will improve learning and knowledge of student to perform. In
this report different characteristics of effective team work is determined. This will include role of
communication in creating better professional relationship is analysed properly. Apart from this
several external professionals that work in education is identifies.
MAIN BODY
List characteristics of effective teamwork
Effective teamwork refer as the team activities and task performed in correct and accurate
manner in order to attain set goals and objectives. Team is a group of people that are combined
together in order to attain set goals of action. Effective team work will lead to successfully
performing activities in required or desired manner. There are several characteristics of effective
team which are mention below –
Clear direction – In an effective tea, each and every company have clear path of
direction on which activities needs to be performed. Clear direction will help all team
member to work according to the guidance as well as help in effective performance of a
team. Clear and appropriate direction provided in a team will lead to reduce issues and
mistake as well as improve the performance of team (Busher and et.al., 2017). This
characteristics of team will significantly increase efficiency of business.
Open and honest communication – A team is considered to be effective when it has
open communication. This type of communication will support in exchanging thoughts
and ideas with other member of this that will lead to enhance performance of team.
Honest communication will lead to develop better relations among team members.
Communication is consider as the foundation of teamwork and effective team have open
communication in order to share views and opinions with each others.

Defined roles – There are different member in a team and it is crucial that each and every
team member have clear and defined role. In an effective team all team members are
aware about what they have to do and how to do it. This assist in increasing performance
of team by timely completion of all required task (Busher, Choudhury and Thomas,
2019). By defining role of team member, leader will be able to measure the performance
of member according to their role. This will lead to resolve is misunderstanding and
confusion of task
Common goals – Effective team in working to attain one common goals and each task of
team will be focused on accomplishing common objective of team. In a successful team
it is the ability of team member to work according to the common vision. Common goals
will lead increase bonding of team members is a team and this will lead to enhance
capability of employees.
Collaboration – Collaboration play crucial role in creation of effective team. This will
lead to have enhancing performance of team as well as improving potential to perform
team. Collaboration will help in enhancing actions of team member in order to achieve
objectives. In an effective team each and every member is collaborating with other to
attain objectives. This will help in integrating different task of team that is performed by
several team members.
Team trust – Trust in a team is essential factor that will lead to have major impact on
performance and effectiveness of a team. It is very important that team trust each other as
well as team leader. This will influence the capability of a team to carry out business task
as well as improve productivity.

educational system to consider the contribution of external professional as they support in

their field and they are conducting different activities that is significant for boosting the learning
process of a student. Different external professional that will work in education are mention
below –
Educational psychology services – This can be describe as the external works that are
responsible for performing different activities that will lead to enhance the psychology
services of leaders. Educational psychologies that expertise who are local authority that
use their psychological training and knowledge for development of child. They work in
such as manner that issues and difficulties of learner can be resolved in correct manner.
Speech and language therapy services – This practice is related to treatment of
increasing language and speech therapy of a person. Speech and language therapist are
providing effective services to children and adult as well in order to resolve difficulties
related to communication process (Hill and James, 2016). They are experts and
professional in their field who will be able to clearly understanding needs of learner as
well as provide accurate treatment as per the problems of speaking and communicating.
Family support workers – These can be describe as external professional in education
who are providing emotional as well as practical support to families in order to resolve
their long term and short term issues. The aim of family support workers is to help
children to stay with their families along with this develop physical and emotional caring
skills.

From the above report it can be concluded that team work is a crucial and complex process
that is required in order to develop performance of team. There are several characteristics such as
direction, communication, team role and so on which will lead to develop strong and effective
team. It has been analysed that communication play crucial role in performance and capability of
a person. This will help in developing strong professional relationship with other as well as bond
to work in a team. Apart from this it has been determined that there are several external
professional that are working in educational practices. They conduct different activities that will
