PROJECT MANAGEMENT
1. Team work
It is found that in order to develop the application “FYND SWAP” which is one of the
consumer to consumer type e-commerce web, the team members generally work actively.
Collaboration is present within the group that further helps in solving various types of difficult
problems that are associated with the development of the application. In this project,
brainstorming method is used that helps in providing proper opportunity to the project team for
exchanging ideas that generally helps in coming up with important creative ideas (Sedaghat
2018). In this particular project, the brainstorming technique is helpful in collecting various types
of ideas for developing the application “FYND SWAP” and by using this technique, the
application is developed successfully by using different types of creative ideas. It is stated by
Costa, Passos and Bakker (2015) that proper teamwork while developing the application
generally helps in creating proper system for making sure that the deadline of the project is met
and therefore proper quality of work can be achieved. In addition to this, it is found that working
within the team helps in providing fresh as well as unique ideas for achieving success.
On the other hand, working within a team generally creates clashes as well as conflicts.
If the team in which the work is performed does not have proper communication skill as well as
trust to complete the work successfully then working within a team generally requires much
more time as it is quite difficult to make the team members agree on a certain course of action. In
addition to this, is stated by Brignon et al. (2018) that resistance is considered as one of the
leadership directives which further can drive the project team away from the mission that they
are generally try to achieve. For this project, a team leader is mainly allocated who mainly
utilizes conceptual approach for assigning team members within the project so that the
application can be developed successfully on time. The different types of individual tasks that

are generally needed to be undertaken by the respective members by the project leader. In
addition to this, the team members also utilize a number of techniques for making the teamwork
much more manageable (Salas et al. 2017). Furthermore, sharing clearly defined team objectives
is considered as one of the important technique that is used for defining as well as tracking the
objectives and the outcomes of the project. Moreover, proper objectives as well as key results are
considered as one of the important ability to clearly communicate the expectations of the leaders
for connecting different level of goals.
In addition to this, it is identified that promoting efficient team meetings is considered as
one of the significant technique that will be useful for completing the work of the team
effectively. In this project, status update as well as team gatherings are generally used that
further helps in promoting team meetings as well as helpful in completion of the project work
quite effectively. Moreover, making individual progress that is visible to the entire team is
considered as one of the effective procedure that is quite helpful for the project team (Sedaghat
2018). The PPP procedure helps in providing appropriate overview to the team and assists in
successfully communicating the important parts about the team including the current goals,
major challenges as well as biggest achievements of the project. The leaders generally rely on the
knowledge as well as skills of the project team members that is why collaboration has become of
the important ingredient for achieving success (Brignon et al. 2018). Thus, proper leadership
style must reflect proper leadership about the proper skillful management for enabling the team
members for succeeding individually for accomplishing mutual objective of the project.
2. User stories
With the help of the agile technique, appropriate user stories for the project is generally
created. Proper user stories that are created with the help of agile methodology is considered to

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
be beneficial for delivering the highest value by focussing on small as well as immediate needs
of the customers (Peroni 2016). Traditional product development teams need to spend months on
functions including design, implementation for carrying out the amount of work in progress
without delivering the work that is generally valuable to the customers. The agile team must be
broken down into by assigning tasks with features which can be successfully implemented as
well as delivered in a very much short period of time (Serrador and Pinto 2015) The owner of the
project must take the responsibility of prioritizing the various user stories in terms of user value,
risk, business value that further helps in enhancing the value that is delivered by the team.
In addition to this, it is found that good user stories generally have minimalist
characteristic that helps in providing proper collaboration among the project development team.
As the development team is generally dependent on the detailed documents, electronic tool as
well as most agile teams therefore they generally collaborate with the users for successfully
planning, implementing as well as delivering the customer value (Mahadevan, Kettinger and
Meservy 2015). Moreover, by reflecting on the delivery of the highest customer value with each
of the user story, it is identified that the agile teams generally compelled for regularly connecting
as well as collaborating with the various end users. It is the responsibility of the project team
members for connecting with the user for properly understanding the perspective, challenges as
well as opportunities that are generally needed to be addressed.
The advantages of the agile technique for writing user stories for exploring them in depth
during the sprint are generally developed properly. It is found that agile helps in providing
number of opportunities for writing the user stories after each sprint. It is quite necessary to
involve the client in every stage in order to provide high degree of collaboration between the
client and the project team (Rasnacis and Berzisa 2017). In addition to this, it is found that an

agile approach is helpful in providing unique opportunities for the clients that generally involve
within the project. Moreover, proper prioritization of features from iteration planning to the
review procedure helps in delivering software for increasing the trust of the stakeholder in the
ability of the team for delivering proper quality of work. It is found that as each of the sprint is
considered as a fixed duration therefore the cost is predictable as well as limited to the amount of
the work which is generally performed by the project team in the fixed schedule.
On the other hand, the disadvantages of user stories in context to agile methodology
reflects that agile method is not very much useful for creating user stories as it generally lacks
emphasis on appropriate designing as well as documentation. It is found that the entire project
can be successfully taken off for tracking as the customer representative is not very much clear
about the objective of the project (Serrador and Pinto 2015). In addition to this, it is found that
the senior managers must be capable of taking appropriate decisions that is mainly needed during
the entire procedure of development and it is found that there is no new place for the
programmers until it is combined with very much experienced resources.
3. Stakeholders
The stakeholder who are associated with the project generally have strengths as well as
weaknesses. It is found that stakeholders like admin, associates, customers generally use proper
method of communication in order to communicate with one group or the other. It is found that
internal stakeholders can be able to communicate about the various directing functions of
management (Adler, Rodman and Du Pre 2016). On the other hand, it is found that it is quite
difficult for the lower level of stakeholders to communicate with the higher authority of
stakeholders due to the communication gap between the project team members. In addition to
this, if the project manager does not have qualified as well as skilled skills in communication

then it would be difficult to manage the project effectively (Perlman, Kaufman and Speciner
2016). Furthermore, the manager must properly communicate the directions quite properly with
the subordinates for working effectively.
In the absence of group communication, it will be quite difficult to progress successfully
within the project due to lack of proper information as well as data that are mainly associated
with the project. Due to improper communication, it will be quite difficult to meet the needs as
well as expectations of the project. Lack of communication generally creates troubles in figuring
out the priorities for selecting the wrong thing and end up with the disappointment (Gualandris
et al. 2015) Moreover, occurrence of high level of stress within the workplace is one of the major
sign that there are number of communication problems. Poor or inappropriate communication
creates feeling of tense. It is stated by Jenkins, Mammides and Keane (2017) that in order to
resolve the problems of the employees and for providing proper working environment, it is very
much necessary to resolve the communication gap by developing proper strategies so that the
communication related problems can be easily resolved.
Proper group communication method helps in creating positive relationship within the
organization. Appropriate communication skill helps in raising the turnover as well as helps in
resolving the physical as well as mental status of the people (Peroni 2016). In addition to this,
proper listening skills helps the co-workers for assuming the client intentions. It is found that
proper culture of accomplishment as well as progress can be achieved. Moreover, perfect
communication skills help in adopting growth mind-set for moving in a positive direction in
order to make the improvement quite quickly.
