Title of the Research
An analysis of the importance of technological development in reducing employee turnover.
Introduction
Background of the Research
In this modern era of repaid high-technological changes, technological advancement will
continue to accelerate the future. The technological advancement changes the organisational
policies and strategies and aid the businesses in the right direction to attain higher growth and
success. Contemporary businesses seek to reduce the turnover as it helps the business to drive its
growth (Bowen and et. al., 2018). However, businesses are concern over implementing effective
technologies as the advancement in the tools and technologies help the business to reduce human
efforts and works effectively to provide a progressive outcome.
In this present proposal the evaluation is mainly being developed over the study of Hilton
Hyde Park (London). Hilton hotels is a global brand of full-service hotels and resorts and the
flagship brand of American multinational hospitality company Hilton. The company was situated

1963. As a large hotel chain, Hilton Hotel is concern over implementing suitable and advance
technologies in the manner to improvising the operations of the business and reducing the
turnover of the business effectively (Helmle, Seibold and Afifi, 2011).

The key aim of this analysis is "To identify the importance of technological development
in reducing the issue of employee turnover within Hilton Hyde Park (London)". This will
provide the spur for the company to implementing the effective tools and technologies for the
business to reduce the turnover

employee turnover?
The rationale of the research
The key rationale behind executing this study is that, employee's turnover is the major issue
for the businesses; the study will make detailed analysis and data that will help enhance
knowledge and skills in relation to the specific area and determined the suitable significance of
implementing the technological advancement which will be significant for the business to attain
growth (Minton, 2012). The in-depth analysis will also help the researcher to enhancing
individual ability which would be supportive for the researcher to conduct a future project in an
appropriate manner. In addition, the project will aid the researcher gain effective academic
knowledge for career development.

Literature Review
This part of the project is significant in enhancing the theoretical framework to support the
entire investigation issue in the light of gathering data via books, journals, and articles and so on.
According to Spiro (2019), technological advancement has transformed the way of conducting
the business and the way we travel, and different industries are affected through the
technological revolution among them the hospitality sector. In today's modern and competitive
hospitality market, businesses need to implement advance and innovative technologies in their
operations for the purpose to render satisfaction to the customers; therefore, the suitable
emergence of advance technologies helps the business to reduce the efforts of the employees and
aid the entire operations in the direction to attain growth and success (Lafferty and Youssef,

2015). Hospitality Technology is recognised as the imperative source and defined as the only
media and predictive intelligence sources exclusively devoted to aiding both hotel and restaurant
progression better employ technology to develop the operations of their organisation.
Since 1997, technology service renders have leveraged H.T. to connect with hotels and
restaurants in meaningful ways to build stronger and more productive business relationships
(Hospitality Technology, 2020). According to Markovich (2019), the high turnover of employees
has a direct negative impact over the productivity and the performance of the business; thus,
Hospitality businesses are mainly concern over providing satisfaction to the customers and for
this effective employee’s performance are mandatory, so the businesses are concern over
developing suitable and advance technologies which are valuable in reducing the turnover of the
employees and also provide effective results to the business. The high range of turnover
influences the operations in a negative manner as the business needs to spend more in the
effective hiring which incurred high cost for the business and the performance of the business
influences badly (Lansley, 2016).
According to Markovich (2019), high employee turnover is defined as one of the
distinguishing feature of the hotel industry and also recognised as one of its remaining greatest
challenge. High employee turnover mainly creates negative impact over the performance of
business in different ways like constant need of hire and train employees mislead the business
from its vision and mission and it also affects the entire progression of the business. Hilton Hyde
Park (London) is operating at a wider level and has its major concern over increasing the
operational ability to develop the profitability of the business. Therefore, it is important for the
business to manage employee turnover for increasing the satisfaction of the employees via
ensuring them suitable opportunities, assurance of job security, suitable training, motivational
aspects and so on. Thus, employee turnover needs to be managed by the business to enhance the
performance and operations. Labour turnover is mainly recognised as the rate at which staff
leaves a business and are replaced through the new employees. Too high a labour turnover rate
may mean that there is something unsatisfactory about working for the organisation and that
action therefore would need to be taken. Hospitality businesses are also concern over motivating
employees at workplace via offering them effective opportunities and compensation, rewards and
suitable motivation theories to enhance the operational ability of employees at workplace.

Research Methodology
Research Methodology is a valuable aspect of the project as it helps the researcher to
generate valuable outcome (DuPlessis, 2014). Therefore, research design of the project is based
on multiple methods are defined as below:
Type of Research: In the present investigation, qualitative research will be the best suitable
approach as it provides wider analysis in which information will be gathering within the
theoretical aspect, which is supportive in analysing the outcome effectively. A qualitative study
is also imperative in enhancing understanding about a specific subject with the assistance of
evaluating other views (Guttentag, 2016).
Research Philosophy: An investigation philosophy is recognised as the belief in relation to the
way in that information is accumulated, evaluated and implemented. In this present study,
interpretivism research philosophy will be implemented as it facilitates in accumulating,
analysing, and using of qualitative data within the minimum period (David, Siefert and Feng,
2013). Interpretivism is the best suitable method for executing qualitative study or aid in
gathering and analysing non-numerical information to understand concepts, opinions, or
experiences over the aspect of technological development and employee turnover. It can be used
to gather in-depth insights into a problem or generate new ideas for research
Research Approach: This is another important aspect of research methodology as it mainly
based on two approaches, i.e. deductive and inductive research approach. The inductive approach
will be implemented in this study as it is effective for executing the qualitative study. In addition
to this, the inductive approach is imperative in developing theories over the aspect of the selected
area and generates the appropriate outcome.
Data Collection Tools: In this research, both primary and secondary tools will be significant to
aid the project in the right manner. In this secondary research will be aiding the project in the
direction of gathering theoretical information via books, journals, articles and so on. At the other
side, primary research will significantly help full to gather specific information with the
assistance of interview as in this data will be accumulated through the semi-structured interview.
Data Sampling: In this existing project, convenience and purposive sampling from the non-
probability sampling will be applied for selecting ten respondents in which managers of Hilton
Hyde Park (London) will be picked to assist the project in the right way (Baker and et. al., 2016).
Data will also be collected from managers using snow and convenience sampling procedures.

Ethical Issues
The research will first secure informed consents from all potential participants through the
institutional gate keeper prior data collection activity. There is not component that will involve
an activity that cause physical harm to participants and will ensure that no question interview
will cause any distress, or psychological harm, discrimination. Participation will be voluntary,
and the data will only be used for academic purposes and any other will seek the prior consent.
Confidentiality will be assured & all efforts will be made to analyse and interpret the data to
reflect the intentions of the participants. All sources and authors used will acknowledge and
correctly referenced using Harvard referencing system
Conclusion
The purpose of this study is to analyse the importance of technological development in
reducing the issue of employee turnover within Hilton Hyde Park, London) to spur the company
to seeking implementing effective tools and technologies for the business to reduce the turnover.
It will help the business and entire hospitality industry actors to seek significance technologies
that will reduce employee turnover and even augment workforce performance
