1TECHNOLOGICAL ZOMBIE
The aim of this paper is to discuss the adverse effect of technology in today’s world
and how over usage of technology is hampering creativity, normal thought process and
understanding of people. This is acceptable fact that use of technology has made the life
simpler for people by reducing the distance among them, opening scope to share knowledge
and information and enjoy every aspects of globalization. This essay will be detailing the
arguments whether human beings have become technological zombies or not.
Proper handling of technology can help human beings to ring balance among the
subtle human capabilities which they have lost due to advent of technology in every stage to
life.
In this 21st century, technology has been used at every level of the society. Now the
fashion of using mobile has become a necessity otherwise the persons will not be able to stay
connected with the rest of the world. Technology is not only limited to the usage of
smartphones but using various devices that ease the effort of human being. For instance, the
exceptional performance of the companies after automation process it is clearly shown that
technology has greatly supported the innovative growth. Moreover, technology has reduced
the distance of the places and increased communication process so that the psychological
distance of the human beings become more effective (Mishel & Bivens, 2017). With the
growth and spread of information, communication has been simplified which in one hand

other.
With the development of technology, people have started to create memories with

supported the human development in such a way that mere existence of the sector of business
starting from agriculture, power, mining to astronomy have become impossible (Mishel &
Papava, 2016).
However, despite all these developments and support from technology, the basic
human instincts and emotions are gradually reducing making them zombies with no feelings
but just following the trail. With the growth of technology, the physical interactions like
visiting the relatives or friends have become rare. This is due to the fact that the development
of communication process has eliminated the scope of missing someone and either call or
visit them physically. In addition to this, technology has attracted children to play more
virtual video games making them dull and obese. Their growth has become stagnant and
learning capacity impaired (Mishel & Bivens, 2017). The more technology dependant people
are becoming, the more they have started to share their personal problems with others rather
than sharing with parents or close individuals. Therefore, in a way humans are becoming
technological zombies as if they will not be able to live without smartphones and other
gadgets. Thus, the tendency of showing off has reduced their inner depth.
