Learning and Teaching with Technology
Technology plays a crucial role in increasing students' learning power through more
elaborate explanations with the help of DVDs and CDs played in educational programs.
The visual representation of data in smart classrooms has increased the understanding
and analyzing power to understand the main purpose of any topic As student can easily
learn subjects with the help of visual representation as to learn through the graphs and
charts (Sudarsana et.al., 2019, p. 012165).
Technology has also helped to solve the problem of time management which is the
major drawback faced by many teachers and takes more time to explain any topic
through textbooks. With the help of technology it automates all the process, tutor can
easily makes the notes in google keeps. Also to use the attendance tech tool helps in
taking attendance with few swipes
The following report will illustrate the importance of technology in teaching. It also
discuss the benefits in learning any topic in school in a reflective form. With the
advancement in technology, learning and teaching process has become more effective
which helps in achieving good outcomes. (Luckin, 2018).
There are many factors of technology that have helped me to overcome my problems in
learning and have improved my performance at the academic level. As by using tool to
schedule work, arrange organised information in google keeps tool. These benefits are
stated below. I was able to connect with my tutors through online classes and discussed
various topics with them during COVID as result of which I could easily focus on my
weak points and later on discussed them with my peers and tutors through physical
interaction (Kennedy and Dunn, 2018, pp.76-89).

the data is represented in visual form in google classroom making it easy to understand
and retain maths concepts. It has increased my critical thinking by taking part in test
series and problem-solving assessments provided online. As I have taken part in the
group project where we all uses the digital tool for organising information helps me a lot
to develop different decision making, team work skills.
As earlier I used to find it very hard to learn, understand and retain any new topic that
was taught verbally earlier through textbooks. It also helped me to understand more
easily the topic of through the representation data in chart and graph forms. As before I
do not understand with the theoretical concept but by practical viewing of the concept
through images and graphs helps me to clears my doubt.
In the beginning I faced difficulty in operating different tools and was completely
unaware about the different functions. As a result of which I was unable to save my
work due to which I would sometimes lose all my work due to power cut and this led to
late submissions of my project. Major difficulty which I faces in operating with
technologies because of lack of technological knowledge. From this I analysed what are
my weaknesses when it comes to operating the different tools and it seemed very
complicated at first. But with regular and continuous use of the same soft wares daily
made it easy for me understand the functions. I also discussed this problem with my
peers, and they helped me on how to use different tools of technology ( Benitt, Schmidt
and Legutke, 2019). Sometimes due to poor connection of internet I was unable to
attend the online classes and missed important lectures. This led to more interaction of
mine with my tutors and peers to clear doubts.
The automation application in computers as to enable the process or system operate
automatically helped to write long passages and has increased my vocabulary. With this
I easily improve the spelling mistakes along with learning new words. Also with this, I
have gained the quality of making correct sentence structure in passages.

I didn't face any difficulty on covering any topic as the online classes were held regularly
when the pandemic was on peak. I realized that the faculty was very supporting and
cooperative as it helped me to provide the content through lectures and in my
professional growth . (Moody and et.al., 2018). With the help of electronic lectures
through software helps me a lot, I didn’t feel requirement of classroom, as by sitting at
home I was able to raise queries, thus tutor also provides me the support throughout the
online lectures. Through this report it can be concluded that technology made it very
easy to remove the workload on both the students and the tutors. I can easily make and
save notes with the help of make my notes feature and also edit it later. As to arrange
the resources by online searching that can be implemented in project, or to use
scheduling tool for arranging work.
I can now easily search and understand the meaning of any new word through the
online dictionary and further test my vocabulary skills by taking part in various English
tests and online quiz competitions.
Technology has helped to improve my understanding level by more research on any
topic with the help of different data present on Google and helped me in making projects
as I was able to make use of the content available on various sites. (Moody and et.al.,
2018).
I can easily break down the matter into short parts for easy understanding. By applying
the use of Google Docs, I can write and make changes in my stored document. It is free
tools which allows me to collaborate with other students. It is does not require any
special software. This also makes it easy for me to track the changes that other
students have made and also provide an option to go back to previous document. It
promotes teamwork through collaboration. I can also use various tools from it to
collaborate my projects and assignments. For an example for the project I can easily
examine the progress so when it required to make changes I will proceed to.
Sometimes I find it difficult to cope with the speed of classroom learning, this is because
it takes time to understand some lengthy topics, but with help of online learning I've

improved my learning process, it provides me extra time to understand any lengthy
concept along with increasing my learnings kills by skills online tuitions from tutors.
The content available on various sites is explained and presented so well that I can
reuse it whenever needed and provide information on diverse topics. I can also take a
virtual trip to aquariums to understand the living environment conditions of different sea
and terrestrial animals (Law, Geng and Li, 2019). With the help of the technologies I can
easily virtually review the solar system to know the position of the planet or to know the
rotation of planet.
During the period of lock-down, technology helped me continue my studies through
online classrooms and made it easy to clear my maths concepts, by taking part in
various online test series. My interaction increased with my tutors as I attended the
online lectures regularly and technology proved to be very beneficial for me as I came to
learn how to operate different tools of the technology with time. The regular use of
technology during the pandemic increased my confidence level and I can now help
other students by teaching the use of different tools (Fatimah, Santiana and Saputra,
2019 pp.101-108).
I was able to interact with my teachers through video meetings and submit my
assignments in document form. It increased my self-confidence and made me aware of
my weaknesses by self-evaluation through online tests. ( How?)
With the help of various technological tools like Thing link, it became very easy to
present the project at school as it helps to make my presentation look more attractive by
allowing me to add images of data, in addition to this I can also add videos, audio's and
enhance my project.
This helps me to use my creative ideas. I can take part in various problem-solving
maths tests online conducted by schools which gives me an idea about the variability of
questions and help me understand the concepts of different topics with side-by-side

improvement in my question-solving speed. Sometimes it becomes difficult for me to
understand some topics in lectures but with the help of online tuition, I can easily
discuss my doubts with the tutors. (Nugroho, Setyorini and Novitasari, 2019).
The release of smartphones and tablets by the technology has made learning more
flexible, as I can easily access information at any given time and location. The invention
of new AR and VR technologies has proven beneficial for me as it brings real-world
activities through visual representation and provide me a platform to think critically and
logically to deal with any real-world problem.
With the adoption of the computers at school, l learned the basic functions of operating
different applications like Excel, PowerPoint, MS word, and the use of various other
apps which has helped me to run these applications more effectively and this will also
be useful. (Spiteri and Chang Rundgren, 2020). Learning the use of these applications
has been beneficial for me to make projects.
Features in online attendance tools has helped the tutors to automatically track the
attendance of students as well as schedule different activities and also helps in the
grading of students according to the marks obtained. This saves time for the tutors and
as a result, the tutors can spend more time with the students and focus on providing
quality learning skills. (Merzifonluoğlu and Gonulal, 2018 pp.65-68)
The use of technology has proved to be the best solution to avoid the suffering of my
studies during COVID and I became technology-friendly. This helped me to easily
handle the situations more peacefully so that I can easily make use of technology to
continue my work and submit the projects on time (Beckett and Slater, 2019). With this I
was able to connect with my colleagues as well to complete the assignments, also with
the help of chat box I can easily ask the queries to tutor.
I have gained confidence by solving so many complex maths problems through online
test series and engaging more in interacting with my tutors to discuss my doubts. This

interaction has helped to overcome my weak points (Kennedy and Dunn, 2018). Also
with this I easily learn the research skills as to select the keywords for searching helps
me a lot to collect the relevant information.
The use of technology has increased my connections through online meetings and
made me more interactive by sharing and gaining knowledge on various topics with
different students. I have learned representation of data which provides an easy
understanding of any topic (McCulloch and et.al., 2018).
I can communicate with my teachers and other students in the class through e-mail by
stating my concerns and clearing doubts through deep research on the given project
(Hava, 2021). This saved my time and improved my research skills. With the help of
online classes, I can ask questions to my tutors and clear my doubts. This also helps
me to interact physically with my peers if some doubts are not cleared through online
classes.
With the help of the invention of various cloud-based collaboration tools such as Google
Drive, this has provided great use. Thus, I was able to store all my project files in it and
gain easy access to them whenever I need them. I can easily take the help of Google
Docs to make changes in my documents with the help of the correction feature. It also
allows the editing of texts within my documents by collaborating my work with other
peers (Law, Geng and Li, 2019).
With the help of Microsoft teams, I have adapted a skill of meaningful conversation with
other students and made new connections through online video meetings This made it
very easy to upload my school assignments along with providing additional help and
support.
Although technology has become an integral part of my learning process, I find it difficult
to manage to complete my projects as the Wi-Fi network at my home is poor. This
played a huge factor as I was unable to gather the required information and thus

resulting in late submissions and making deductions. On the other side, due to these
issues, certain concessions and leeway were given (Albrahim, 2020).
As a result of the above, it affected my academic performance. Moreover, I do not have
my PC at home, so I must always go to computer shops to do my projects which is very
much time-consuming and not a cost efficient method. In this area, the school can help
the students in providing all the facilities of technology at school so that the students do
not have to spend extra money to buy costly tablets.
The use of technology has minimized the interaction between me and the teacher, this
resulted that the topics were not correctly explained on the internet. I found it difficult to
grasp and understand (McCulloch and et.al., 2018). As there are time due to the
network unavailability I was not able to ask the question on time of lecture, thus I asked
teacher about query in next lectures which creates lots of problem for me.
The use of technology helped in developing new learning skills. I'm more aware of the
different functions of the technology by regular use of soft wares. The things which
seemed complicated for me in tarting have become easier for me now. I can easily
access all my school files with the help of my mobile and can make use of it to search
and learn new topics anywhere and anytime (Sumuer, 2018).
Furthermore, it can be concluded that technology is an important part of learning and
teaching in the modern world. The use of various technological tools like Google Docs,
Wiki, and other multimedia tools has students a lot by improving their reasoning
capacity and increasing their logical thinking (Anas and Musdariah, 2018pp.41-56)
Technology helped me to stay connected with my colleagues live through video calls,
and we easily discussed topics and projects through online meetings (Albrahim, 2020).
This enabled me in building teamwork and effectively discussed topics by supporting
each other (Hakiki, meilisa, and samala, 2018). There are some disadvantages related

to technology that affected the student’s academic growth. The tutors find it very hard to
shift from the traditional method of teaching using technology in teaching due to various
technical issues faced by them. Due to the poor connection of the Wi-Fi network, the
online classes were missed sometimes, and they could not pay full attention to the
students (Seipel and Ferrari, 2021, pp. 1228-1252).
