INTRODUCTION
Background of the research
The evolution of the technology and rising pace of digitalization has enhanced each
and every aspect of the lives of people. It has made numerous field of work quite simple but
at the same time it has made many other things complicated in a varied way like, no security
of job, demand of excessive amount of focus, requirement of different skillset etc. Therefore,
it can be said development of the technology is a controversial field and it has significantly
transformed the way people interact with each other, carry out their tasks and collaborate at
the workplace. Due to the innovation in the field of technologies, for example advent of
different software application, mobile devices, computing powers and so forth, the whole
workplace has been disrupted and transformed (McOrmond, 2014). The workplace
transformation technologies supports in increasing the productivity of the workers. However,
there are many issues being faced by the workers when new technologies are being
implemented in the organization. Following from this, it is very crucial to comprehend the
implication of digital transformation on the workplace and employees.
Research aim
The main aim of the current research report is “to analyse the impact of technology
and requirements needed for employees to carry out roles and collaborate workplace
transformation operations” A research work on Amazon.
Research objectives
For the purpose of fulfilling the current aim, there will be requirement of certain small
objectives and these are as follows:

and Raulin, 2016). The research methods involves varied layers of research which helps in
offering a right path to the researcher to perform the study successfully. For the purpose of
carrying out the current research work, this framework has been adopted which encompasses
different stages such as research philosophy, approach, strategy and research choice.
Research philosophy
It is being referred as the set of belief in relation with the nature of the reality that
needs to be researched. Further, it states the manner in which the whole research work needs
to be performed. There are mainly three kinds of research philosophies that is ontology,
epistemology and axiology. Talking in relation with the first one that is ontology, it is related
with the existence and presence. In other words, the main emphasis of this philosophy is to
study existence and nature of human being (Brink, 2015). On the other hand, the second one
is epistemology which is being utilized for resolving some attitude problem or knowledge
and comprehension being needed for reading something. This means that epistemology is that
branch of research philosophy that helps in studying knowledge. Final, the last one is
axiology which encompasses values such as good or bad, moral and immoral etc. Thus, it can
be said that it studies values. As far as the current research is being concerned epistemology
philosophy is being utilized as different theories are used for explanation of the significance
of workplace technology in Amazon and seeking help from the research philosophy the
researcher will understand the assumptions.

Research approach
Research approach is generally defined as the plan as well as procedure for carrying
out the whole research work. There are two important types of research approaches that
deductive and inductive research approach. Deductive involves formulation of hypothesis and
on the other inductive approach involves formulation of research questions. In the current
research work, inductive approach is being selected by the investigator as it involves
development of aim, objective and research question. Research approach is being selected as
it helps in defining the plan, methods of data collection and other procedure for conducting
the work.

It explains the best and the most suitable manner of carrying out the research work.
There are different methods through which information can be collected like, case studies,
experiments and surveys. In the present research the researcher has made use of both primary
and secondary data for collecting the information (Bajpai, 2016). For primary data collection
a survey is done of the employees of the firm through questionnaire which included open
ended questions. Secondary data was gathered through exploring different journals and
articles related to the topic of the study. Research strategy is essential for carrying out the
research work effectively.
Research choice
There are different choices of research such as mixed, multi-method and mono
method which consists of two aspects of quantitative and qualitative analysis. In the current
research report, the researcher has made use of multi-method in which both quantitative and
qualitative analysis is done (Howcroft and Taylor, 2014). Qualitative analysis is being done
with the help of thematic analysis and quantitative analysis is performed through descriptive
statistics. Research choice is important because correct choice will support in identifying the
success and overall quality of study and its documentation.
Sampling
A sample of 30 employees working in Amazon has been selected through seeking
help from simple random sampling method.

transformation of the respected firm. The very first is the remote manageability, which is

which is in remote areas. At the time of covid19, the managers of the firm installed the

Result
When it was asked from the respondents that whether utilization of the latest
technology supports in augmenting the operational functioning in Amazon then around 11
participants agreed that with the application of latest technology, the operational effectiveness
of the company has been augmented. The other 6 participant stated that they strongly agreed
that technology is helping the firm in augmenting their operational efficacy. On the other
hand, there were around 10 respondents who responded that they don’t think so that
technology has augmented the operational efficiency of the firm. However, the other 3 were
neutral and neither supported nor disagreed.
