The American’s makes crucial decisions concerning the choices of their lifestyles which
is of much importance as it reflects on the future of the healthcare system of the United States
(US). By 2020 the cost of healthcare in the United States can be estimated to grow at an average
of 5.8% each year since 2010. It’s through technological trends that all the healthcare services
will become more affordable.
According to the 2015 report, it was indicated that three hospitals out of four had adopted
the use of the Electronically Medical Record system. Through the utility of the patient to doctors
portal the technology has enhanced the use of electronic- medication. Through these portals the
patients are able to contact and interact with the doctors via the emails for consultation about the
disease progress, to ask questions request for medication refills and also to request for
appointments (Erwin & Brownson, 2017). The technology has helped healthcare- technicians to
manage and organize health information and data. These technicians help to organize the clinical
data and also get involved in the medical coding. They also play a role too in tracking the
patient's outcomes and analyze the client's data technologically. Through this technology, the
technician job position is expected to grow by 15% in the future by 2024 (Susskind & Susskind,
2015).
Job Opportunities for Healthcare Managers
Following the recent awareness on the impressing technology trends such as the artificial
intelligence that are emerging, which has brought change on how people interact and work with
others. The technology is developing in every aspect of people’s businesses and enhancing high

to secure job opportunities in 2020 due to technological knowledge in the following fields;
Computer system analyst
As an institution grow while increasing on their reliance to the technology, there will be a
need to hire computer system analyst who will be responsible for the management and control of
the architect systems within the organization. In the healthcare industry, for instance, is among
the key industries where a computer system analyst is required. This is vital within the healthcare
system due to the aggressiveness mandate of the government in funding the initiative to drive the
increase of adoption of the Electronic Medication Record (EMR), electronic prescription services
and any other health-centric software activities that require analysis through the computer
systems. The Department of Labor of the United States has predicted a 43% increase in hiring
the system analyst especially at IT counseling and consultation firms in Healthcare facilities
(Ebersold, & Glass, 2015).
Health Information Technician
Healthcare organizations are going to produce several new computer jobs than any other
industry by 2020. This can be predicted by the aggressiveness of the government mandate and

able to maintain and mange all the records and planning the healthcare finances. There is a
prediction that the hospital will reduce their operation cost by 20% to stay solvent. By 2020,
there will be a need for more such healthcare managers to keep the health facilities running
efficiently and effectively.
Healthcare Actuary
Through technology, the healthcare actuary is able to handle all the actuarial analysis
which gives information to one or several decision makers within the healthcare marketplace.
The director in the health actuary helps to facilitate change in financial and services delivery
departments by minimizing risks associated with decision making. This department will
generally work with the self-insured medical group and insurance company.
Chief Nursing Director
