INTRODUCTION
The competition level in organisation or corporate sector is increasing at rapid scale.
Technologies play important role in growth and development without which it is not possible
for any enterprise to achieve their goals and mission (Addis, 2020). Main aim of this report is
to understand the importance of technology in corporate sector. This report is based on
Arden University which is a private organisation headquartered in United Kingdom.
University has also explained branches into Germany and now focusing on more
improvement to achieve competitive advantage through the adoption of technology as well as
information system.

A) Explain the big data and its role in Arden University with examples of department
Big data defined as a collection and set of a leader which is large in volume and is
expanding with time period. The size of a big data is so large that it is complex no traditional
data management tools then store it or use it efficiently. In this competitive era, it is critically
important to manage the big data with appropriate manner so that and become easier for each
and every organisations to execute their business activities in effective way. This is also
analysis that big data has changed individual mind set as well as impact of corporate sector in
both positive and negative manner (Azeez, 2019). In context of Arden University, the
technological department of organisation also uses the big data on the basis of which they are
able to track and examine the students and other behaviour about education and other
professional as well as personal career. It is necessary for universities and colleges to be well
aware about using of data in safe and secure procedure so that problem do not occur in future
time interval.
Role of big data in Arden University
 Big data has an important role in Arden University as because it helps enterprise to
create new growth opportunities and different forms of companies or say activities
that combine and analyse industry data. With use of these large sizes in data,
University is able to track and attract more students towards their studies and
professional career in better procedure.

 Another crucial role of big data in this university is that through its Usage University
is capable of analysing and protecting the behaviour of every individual and activities
of education system in both external and internal processes. Also, this chosen
University has introduced many courses which are linked with big data analytics such
as MSc data analytics and project management, MSc operations management and
analytics, MBA data analytics and many more.
 University follows the big data in form of a structure and they are using the semi
structured data in order to gain relevant information as well as data which are further
beneficial for development (Blazquez, 2018).
 For example- in marketing and human resource department of Arden University, big
data is being used at first priority as because both these department of Arden
University require wide range of information there activities roles and responsibilities
in better way.
 Furthermore it is also examined that both this department of within University uses
big data in order to fulfil their roles and responsibilities and execute there functions in
proper manner by delivering positive output.
Therefore, it has been analysed that the role of big data is flexible and increasing in
corporate world which is crucial to be focused so that it is easy for every individual to
achieve benefits at all aspects. Moreover it is also stated that an appropriate search is to be
used so that it is easier for every department in organisation to adopt big data in safe and
secure manner (Dietrich, 2018).
B) Explain benefits gain by Arden University after adopting big data
Big data and analytics have a deep impact on organisational activities as well as their
operations. It is essential for university use the big data with proper conditions so that
benefits are easily achieved. With changing period of time, It is seen that University is
improving their efficiency level after the adoption of big data as because they have expecting
their activities and functions in Germany. There are various types of advantages which have
been gained by Arden University which are further discussed below-
 After adopting of a big data the selected University has been able to generate more
information of students and learners who are looking for new change in studies and
want to study in colleges of United Kingdom and accordingly the targets the students
and provide education.
 And another advantage which has been achieved by Arden University is that they
have expanded their courses and has linked every course with big data and analytics

which gives them a competitive edge and attracts more students towards their
education. Moreover, it has been also analysed that they have developed more new
technical department in their college who is capable enough to manage all the data as
well as credentials.
 Further benefit which was adopted by University after applying big data was that
through this they are capable of reducing the competition level line implement
effective strategies in market on the basis of which they advertise and promote their
name at larger level.
Above matter shows that there are wide range of advantages which are being achieved by
University after using big data in their management system. Also it is examined that they are
focusing on development of and introducing of new courses so that students can improve
their level of learning and also it will be easier for every individual to explore more

order to protect both data as well as analytics processes and procedures from theft, attacks
and any other illegal activities that can impact upon overall organisational structure. The
security level of information technology and data privacy measures are needed to be used in
highly efficient manner so that it is easier for corporation to product their credentials as well
as data properly (Faro, 2019).
Information technology is a wider and broader concept which is needed to be properly
understood so that it is easy for organisations to use the security elements of IT and also it

to be considered as a best example of cellular network. A mobile phone is a kind of a portable
device which is used to receive and make calls through different cell site based on the stations
or towers. In today's world mobile phone network uses cells because frequencies of radio are
limited (Khelifi, 2018).

It is also seen that mobile phone operators mostly uses the cellular network and with
purpose of achieving both coverage as well as capacity for their subscribers.
Telecommunication and networks are playing important role in development of technologies
as well as methods of sharing information. This has been stated that the process and
