How technology impacted the tactics of terrorism
Technology has played a significant role in changing and developing the society of the
countries. However, the technologies are also being used by the terrorists for carrying out
their criminal activities. The increase in the terrorist attacks in the world has affected people
of many countries. Thus, it has become important for the government of the nations to fight
against terrorism. The law enforcement organizations are working hard to stop terrorist
attacks.
Research Questions
Question 1
How the advancement of technologies have supported the networks and tactics of terrorist
organizations?
Technology is considered to be the foundation of the modern society but it has also benefited
the terrorist organizations. The modern terrorism is unpredictable and instantaneous because
technology has provided a place where terrorist organizations find resources (Paganini,
2018). The descriptive research will be carried out for carrying out in-depth research in order
to answer the question. The descriptive design assists to describe the research question on the
basis of collected data and information. Both qualitative and quantitative methods will be
used for examining the research question. The quantitative method is being used for
examining the relationship between the variables by using statistics and numbers in order to
explain the findings. The quantitative data shows the increase in terrorism in many countries
of the world. The descriptive design research does not need a hypothesis to start with and the
examination can be carried out from the existing data. The qualitative method will be used for
collecting data from past evidence and events (Yousaf, 2018). It helps to outline question
explaining the issue which needs to be solved. The qualitative information is collected from
different sources such as books, journals and internet.

How information technology is used by terrorists as a weapon?

Terrorists have used information technology to attack or threaten national infrastructures
consisting of commercial firms and security infrastructures. The attacks have resulted in
public inconveniences, financial loss and disruption of services. The attacks have also led to
an increase in the violence which can be either psychological or physical. The internet
facilities are being used by the terrorist organization to achieve their terrorist goals (Sheetz,
2017). The descriptive research will be carried out for explaining the subject matter and
answering the question appropriately. The quantitative method will be used by taking into
account the statistics and numerical about the use of technology as a weapon by the terrorists.

information technology, cyber security, special tactics and weapons in order to prevent
terrorism in the world. The technology industries and defence have contributed with a wide
range of technologies such as embedded computing, integrated circuits, electro-optics, data
storage, power electronics, wearable and handheld computing, power electronics etc (Keller,
2015). The exploratory research will be carried for exploring the answers to the question in
How and what. An appropriate analysis of the question is to be carried out in order to support
the findings and the desired outcome. The qualitative method will be applied to the collection

the terrorists (Prentice, 2016). The prediction will indicate the potential targets of the
terrorists by highlighting the places and places to which contempt or violence is felt. The
