be changingthe parameter to "name the
first five words in english that end with
-ing". Finally, I will change the category of
the words to verbs. That way I will steadily
link the activity to the learning objective
All students are expected to take part in
the activity. They should successfully
produce five english words, then move on
to five english words ending in -ing (going,
sibling, jumping, hanging etc). Finally they
are expected to produce verbs ending in
-ing (they should not produce words like
sibling or spelling).

Introduction The focus of the lesson

continuous tense.
The lesson is about the concept of past
continuous tense. it displays actions that
were happening in the past but are not
happening now.
For example, yesterday evening from 5 to
6 I was riding my cycle. But I am not riding
now. So my action was continuous but
only yesterday from 5 to 6. That is an
example of a past continuous scenario.
Students should pay attention to the
teacher and take notes.
Questions are expected.
They should identify the target language
as english and the focus of the aspect as
past continuous.

I was eating pasta when you fall down the

Examine the following structure
was + word+ ing = past continuous
was + drive + ing = was driving
So the driving is a continuou action just
like 'I am driving now" but the verb was
renders it a past tense. So it depicts a past
form of a continui=ous action.
Ask them for examples of what they were
doing last week. Use those instances to
provide more examples
