Kingdom vison 2030 major goal is to become the investment powerhouse in world and to
connect the three major continent Asia, Europe and Africa (Mitchell & Alfuraih, 2018). The
following paper deal with the case study on tele-psychiatry service in order to evaluate it on the
basis of kingdom vison 2030.
Looking into today problem, the number of mental health patient are increasing in ED
due which the availability of bed and psychiatrist consultation is becoming a great challenge.
Therefore, with the implementation of tele-psychiatry service, the overburden of involuntary and
voluntary patient on ED will be reduced. The mental health patient would get effective care,
better consultation and their stay in hospital will get reduced. It is also beneficial for hospital as
this make good patient outcome and is feasible financially with only $4,500 per month. This
much of money will include the fees of equipment, management, physician. Thus, it is
economically benefitted for the hospital. Tele-psychiatry can impact the quality of care of patient
and job of medical staff cannot be preserved and would not be able to maintain it financially.
They may also face technical issue in dealing with patient. It may happen that tele-psychiatry
service fails to give necessary clinical consultation as in-person service provides better care to
the patient by the psychiatry.
Implementation of such facilities with focus on the patient’s safety, medical staffs and
their job, need huge amount of investment. Other country is leading toward success for its
implementation but some are facing the issue of investment. Saudi Arabia goal to become the
global investment powerhouse can be fulfilled by investing huge some in Tele-psychiatry and
helping other countries to grow in medical field (Srinivasan, Jones & Hilty, 2017).

Tele-psychiatry service need resource such as IT hardware and networking specialist, IT
interface specialist, ED nurse director, nursing informatics analyst, assistant vice president
patient service, behavioral health nurse director, physician clinical service analyst and medical
staff service coordinator. The other resource they may require certified psychiatrist and mental
health trained nurse practitioners. Proper service can be provided by training the staff efficiently,
thus goal of kingdom to develop their talent can be fulfilled by the service of tele-psychiatry
service. People will can become highly skilled in providing care to mental patient. Asia, Africa
and Europe constitute 56.98% of eligible people for Tele-psychiatry service. Saudi Arabia can
connect to Asia, Africa and Europe to get useful resource and become epicenter trade and
gateway for such.
