Introduction
The telecoms industry serves as a label for a very important sector that includes just

too. This report identifies all the risk hazards that can arise from the activities of Telecom
Engineers, identifies potential control measures that could reduce risk for each of the hazards,
applies the concept of reasonable practicability for determining a wide range of control
measures for all the risks that can be used to control the risks, and provides a justification for
the recommendations given.
1. Risk Hazards that can arise from the Activities of Telecom Engineers
1.1. Working at Vast Heights for Extensive Periods of Time
One of the biggest risks associated with working in the Telecom industry is the fact that
engineers have to work at very great heights in order to do their job. Engineers and linesmen
are expected to operate at vast heights for extensive periods of time in order to check and
