INTRODUCTION
Telecommunication refers to electronic transmission of information so that work can be
done properly without any disturbance. The information can be in form of voice call, text
messages, images or videos (Petrov, Davydov and Grebenikova, 2018). During pandemic, all
organisations are working from home and there should be proper communication between
employees to reduce conflict or misunderstanding and better plans can be made to accomplish
goals and objectives. SNS is a small and non – profit organisation which aim at giving a front
end to business. The report examines, aim of trustees of SNS, their proposal in respect to current
UK legislation. Fundamental principle of modern telecommunication system, issues involve in
communication system and VOIP (voice over internet portal) is discussed.

Current UK legislation regulating VoIP
VoIP refers to a technology which allows people to make voice calls using a good internet
connection. This helps organisations in connecting with people who are doing work from
different geographical location. During pandemic all the employees are doing work from home
and face issues in network. Due to problem in network they are not able to interact with their
colleagues and work is not completed on time (Chakraborty, Misra and Prasad, 2019). For
accomplishing goals and objectives, it is important to have effective communication in an
organisation. VoIP (voice over internet protocol) is a technology which allow to make voice calls
and work can be done properly.
SNS (Sunderland Networking Systems) is a small not for profit organisation which aims
at giving a front end to businesses in their start up stage. During pandemic, employees are
working from home and it creates mix of mobiles and call divert. Managers of company want to
expand their business and using IP based phone systems. They want to apply good
communication tool so that work can be done properly and there will be no issue in
accomplishing targets. The trustees of Sunderland Networking System are planning for the
business to become virtual and focus on accomplishing targets (Bensalah and et.al., 2017).
VoIP is the best technology which can be applied by trustees of SNS so that they can do
business properly and employees will not face any problem. VoIP services change the way of
voice which is delivered to receiver. These services are using broadband connection to provide
voice calls. It is important to apply good technology so that communication can be done properly

and it helps in accomplishing goals and objectives. During pandemic, all employees of SNS are
working from home and due to network issue they are not able to interact with their colleagues.
VoIP helps in converting voice into a digital signal, which allows a person to make a call directly
from a computer. In this service there should be good internet connection and it is useful in
achieving targets (Chakraborty, Misra and Prasad, 2019). It is essential to use voice over internet
protocol so that employees can work properly. Trustees of SNS should analyse proposal with
respect to legislation regulating VoIP. For expanding business, it is important to use technology
to improve communication between employees and this helps in achieving targets. Voice over
internet technology helps in making direct call from computer or other data driven services.
Fundamental principle of modern telecommunication system
Modern telecommunication system refers to problem which is involved in
transmitting large volumes of information. Some basic components of modern
telecommunication system must be capable of transmitting voice, data, radio and signals. There
should be no problem while interacting over phones because due to miscommunication problem
may arise. There are some modes of communication such as, e-mail, fax, radio, television
broadcasting, instant messaging or other modes which help in effective communication.
Telecommunication helps in proper interaction among members and people from long distances
can communicate properly (Kosenko, 2017).
It is important to apply modern telecommunication modes for interacting during
pandemic and this will not affect working of SNS organisation. Principal components of
telecommunication network include, computers, good internet connection, network interfaces,
network operating system software, switch or hub and other components according to the need. It
is important to determine principle of modern telecommunication system and SNS organisation
should apply so that employees of company can work properly from home and there will be less
chances of conflicts or misunderstanding.
Principle of modern telecommunication system are:
Electromagnetic waves
One of the principle of telecommunication system are electromagnetic waves. It is important to
apply modern telecommunication system in organisation so that there must be effective
communication among employees and work can be completed on time. This is one of the
essential principle of telecommunication which helps in better interaction and goals & objectives

of company can be accomplished. For growth and development of company, managers should
use modern tools of communication and during pandemic, all employees are working from home
and there are many issues which workers has to face (Amiri and et.al., 2018).
Analogue and digital signals
Analogue and digital signals is another principle of telecommunication system. It helps in
providing different digital signals which is beneficial for employees in understanding what a
person want to convey. During pandemic, employees of SNS are working from home and for
proper and effective communication, modern tools such as, e-mail, text messages or through
videos and images. It is essential for an organisation to use communication tools so that work
can be done effectively and there will be no issue among employees.
Communication channel
Another principle of telecommunication system is communication channel. It is important to
have good communication in an organisation and proper structure so that there will be no
confusion among employees. For success of a company it is important that there must be proper
communication between employees to reduce conflicts or misunderstanding. In every company,
communication channel must be good so that work can be completed on time and less chances of
duplicate work. VoIP has broadband connections and helps in effective communication so that
work can be completed within the given time frame (Dobson and et.al., 2019).
Issues in internetworking of communication system
There are some issue which a manager has to face in internetworking of communication
system such as, user security, data rate enhancement, duplication of work. Internetworking refers
to connecting multiple computer networks so that messages can be exchanged. It is important to
apply techniques so that a company can perform better than others and accomplish targets. It is
essential to identify problems and on the basis of that plans should be made. While
internetworking of communication system, members has to face problems and they have to make
plans to face issues (Sen and Jayawardena, 2019).
 User security- When using communication system there are some issues which may arise
like, user security. Doing work online is easy but users security is important because
using online apps need security. Information or details should not be leaked from devices
because there are some information which is essential for growth of company. So, when

using internetworking of communication system, it is an issue to make plans for user
security. During pandemic, all work is done through online apps and information may be
leaked. It is important to apply some software so that details can be safely recorded.
 Data rate enhancement- another issue in internetworking of communication system is
data rate enhancement. Using communication system will require some software so that
work can be done properly. SNS organisation should ensure that there is proper
interaction among employees and targets can be accomplished. For success of
organisation, communication systems are applied and it help in making better plans or
strategies. Enhanced data rates is a mobile phone technology which helps organisation in
effective communication.
 Minimizing size and cost- In internetworking of communication system another issue is
size and cost. It is difficult to apply system because size of organisation is different and
cost is also different. So, managers of SNS company should make plans and according to
that they should apply communication system (OC and Emewu).
 Duplication of resources – another issue in internetworking of communication system is
duplication of resources. When many computer networks are interconnected with each
other then it may lead to duplication of resources because all computers are connected
and employees can do same work. To avoid duplicate work, managers should divide
work among employees and clearly define goals and objectives so that there will be no
confusion and work can be done in systematic way.
 Absence of network management – when internetworking of communication system
there is absence of network management. When multiple computer networks are
connected then it is difficult to handle or manage the work. Managers are not able to
manage and they need time to solve issues. It is the responsibility of managers to solve
problems and ensure that there is proper interaction among employees and targets of
company are achieved.
VoIP
VoIP (voice over internet protocol) is a technology which allows people to make voice
calls using a broadband internet connection so that people can interact with other workers
without any disturbance. This is a technology which helps in converting voice of a person into
digital signals and allows an individual to directly call from a computer. This is one of the best

way to communicate with people and during pandemic it was used by many companies so that
there can be proper interaction or communication between employees (Rojas and et.al., 2018).
Managers of SNS company should use this technology for improving communication among
employees and this help in accomplishing targets. All the employees are doing work from home
and if they have to interact with each other regarding work then they face issue due to network
problem or any other issues. So, VoIP is the best way to interact with people in distance places
and work can be completed on time.
Advantages and disadvantages of VoIP
There are some advantages of VoIP such as, it has lower cost, helps in increasing
accessibility. This technology provides complete portability and has higher scalability. Voice
over internet protocol (VoIP) has advanced features which help small and large teams. This can
be applied by small businesses as well as large organisations because it has clear voice quality
and during pandemic people can work effectively by using this digital technology. This helps in
supporting multitasking so that employees can perform well and boost confidence of employees
so that they can complete their work on time (Prasetyo and Suardinata, 2020). It has more
flexibility with softphones and helps in accomplishing goals & objectives of company.
Voice over internet protocol is beneficial for an organisation because it helps in making
better plans which increase efficiency of employees and also increases accessibility. In this
technology, a company has to make less investment because it is available at less price. Trustees
of SNS company should make plans to invest money in voice over internet protocol so that it
becomes easy for employees to communicate and there will be no confusion or misunderstanding
among employees.
There are some disadvantages of VoIP (voice over internet protocol) such as, it requires
good internet connection because this technology requires reliable internet connection. It is
important for an organisation and employees should have good internet connection so that they
can work properly and there will be no issue (Suthar and Rughani, 2020). There is no location
tracking system for emergency calls. VoIP has no location tracking system which is a negative
point of this system because if a person wants to call someone or stuck in any situation where
they need help then this is not useful.

CONCLUSION
From the above discussion it can be concluded that, telecommunication is electronic
transmission of information and it is useful during pandemic. VoIP (voice over internet protocol)
is a technology which can be applied by trustees of SNS so that employees can work efficiently.
Further, principle of modern telecommunication system such as, electromagnetic waves, digital
signals and communication channel has been discussed. Some issues involved in internetworking
of communication system such as, user security, data enhancement rates, absence of network
management, duplication of resources has been described. VoIP, its advantages like, less
investment is required, increased accessibility, higher scalability, supports multitasking and
disadvantages like, good internet connection and no location tracking for emergency calls.
