In the recent times it can be stated that the concept of the technology is playing a very
vital role which directly alters the framework of the working within the concept of the
business. In most of the situation it can be stated that focusing on the business need of the
organisation directly implies to the factor that innovation in different fields excel due to the
implementation of the technology. In the case study which is provided Telstra is trying to
move form a concept of conservation engineering based company to a fast paced digital
organisation. The success factor which is related to the concept can be explained in the field
of Telstra 24*7 tablet and smartphone application which directly deliver customer control
directly to the 1.5 million user who are very much regular in the palm of the hand (Regan,
Laschinger and Wong 2016). The organisation’s concept of Crowd support community has
directly helped to alter the way which is related to the service which is given to the customer.
The main aspect which is taken into consideration is the fundamental of the ethical
implication of the changes which is made into the organisation. The report directly puts focus
on the aspect of the detection of any decision tools and business analytics which are re-
enforced within the working of the organisation. The report puts forward a suggestion of the
IT governance and IT standard plan which can be enforced within the organisation.

The main thing which is seen in the case is that Telstra is trying to move from the
sector of conservative engineering based organisation to a fast paced digital organisation. The
main focus point of the organisation is to provide a framework of the business which is
directly used in the aspect of delivering service to the customer in a time framework of 24*7.
In most of the times in the sector of the movement of the technology, it can be stated that the

role of the organisation is very much important which directly incorporates the aspect of the
delivering service to the customers and being ethical in the framework of the service. It can
be stated here that in most of the times it can be stated that the sector of the innovation
sometimes involves the aspect of the ethical issue which can directly alter the normal
functionality of the organisation (Nastasi and Naser 2014).
What are the issues?
The main issue which is seen in the case is the security of the data which would be
implemented within the system. In most of the system it can be stated that the security of the
data of the user can be one of the most important factors which play an important role in the
system. Majorly there can be different types of ethical aspects such as the access of the data
and the access permission of who would be in charge of the data. The personal data of the
customer are very much important which directly focus on the aspect of the generation of the
effectiveness of the system. Here are other implications of the issue which can be majorly
seen in the aspect of the implementation of the new system (Regan, Laschinger and Wong
2016). It can be seen that if the system does not meet the requirement of the organisation it
can be a problem which would be re-enforcing different types of consequences.
What are the ethical issue and implication?
The main issue which is seen in the system is the security of the data. In most of the
situation it can be stated that the security of the data can be considered to one of the most
important aspects when relating to the sector of proper working within the organisation. The
implication of the problem would be directly faced by the organisation and the customers
who would be involved into the process. Most of the times it can be seen that the data goes
into the hand of another person who makes use of the data in an unethical manner which
directly impacts the overall working within the organisation. The problem can come in
different forms depending upon the situation in which the problem is faced. It should be taken

into consideration that the security aspect in any type of system is very much important. In
most of the scenario it can be stated that the system should be very much independent so that
it gets the proper interaction. The scope of the system should be very much in the area of the
access of the organisation which majorly focus on the aspect of generating the desired data
for processing (Nastasi and Naser 2014).
What can be done about it?
The main thing which should be done in this case is to involve an aspect of security
which would be directly involved into the working of the organisation. The main concern
area which should be taken into consideration is the generation of a security means which
would be directly ensuring the security of the data. In the form of generation of the data it can
be stated that in most of the cases the security implications are very much on the higher end
which would be directly involving different means of securing the data. The security of the
data of the user can be one of the concern areas in the field which can be directly related to
the concept. There can be different types of security implications that can be included into the
process which would be directly helping the system to be secured. There can be different
types of security implications which can be included according to the requirement of the
organisation (Regan, Laschinger and Wong 2016). The organisation should take into
consideration the exact security control measures due to the factor that security of the data
can be considered as one of the most important factors in the internal working of the
organisation.
What is the best option?
The best option in this situation is to generate a sense of security in the system which
can be directly be achieved from the concept of the implementation of a security measure.
The implementation of a proper means of security should be given the maximum priority in
the system which would be directly securing the data and also help in the aspect of the

helping the sector of interaction. The best option in any type of application related aspect
should be in the sector of the security of the data and the means of communication which is
achieved from the application. On the other hand it can be even stated that the sector which is

2017). In most of the cases it should be taken into consideration that the customer should
have an easy access to the application and the data which is stored in the concept should be
very much available. The people should also be using the application wisely so that it does
not lead to any type of unethical aspect so that the data is not accessible by any other except
the authorised person.
Situation analysis (ACS Code of Ethics)
According to ACS code of ethics is a general part of ACS constitution. The condition
has been analysed from the point of view of an ICT Professional by making use of the ACS
Code of Ethics.
There exists six major codes and this mainly includes the following:
1. The Primacy of the Public Interest: In this code the public interest generally takes
precedence over any kind of personal or private or sectional interest. Along with any conflicts
which are arising should also be resolved which would be generally in favour of public
interest (Nastasi and Naser 2014). While doing any work it should be made sure that the
interest of the immediate stakeholders are safeguarded along with this it is also to be made
sure that this conflicts are not creating any type of conflict with the duty and the loyalty are
owned only for the interest of the public. The public interest which are generally considered
includes the public health, safety and the environment. The organisation should always take
into consideration the main demand of the people which would be directly impacting the
sector of working of the organisation and this would be very much beneficial in a way which

directly improves the sector of interaction between the customers and this would be
improving the business sector of the organisation (Regan, Laschinger and Wong 2016). The
demand of the people should be one of the most important sector which directly improves the

2. The Enhancement of Quality of Life; ICT has been developing day by day and has
been associated with creating a significant impact over the society as well as on the way of
life. This impact has seen to be very much beneficial up to a great extent. Besides this there
also exists some negative impact as well. The ethical approach to the work would be very
much beneficial while recognizing and minimizing the adverse effects. It can be stated that of
the adverse effects are included into the process it would be directly affecting the overall
working of the organisation. In most of the times precaution measures should be taken into
consideration so that that if there are no types of adverse effects it would not be effecting the
working of the organisation.
3. Honesty: This generally means there shouldn’t exists any kind of breach in the trust
of the public regarding their profession or the specific trust if the stakeholders. Besides this
the observance of the utmost honesty and the integrity must underlie all their decisions which
are related to their professional along with the actions. There would certainly arise some
circumstances in the professional career which might be seem to be very beneficial to become
deceptive and this is generally not accepted as a professional conduct. Honesty can be
directly be related to the aspect of delivering and moving towards the gaol of the
organisation. In most of the cases honesty tend to be one of the most important factors which
help a project to reach to the direct level of success. Most of the critical projects should
include a policy control approach so that the member who are involved into the working
would be working according to the norms set in the policy which would be very much
beneficial for the internal as well as external working of the organisation.

4. Competence: According to this code only such works are to be accepted which are
believed to have a competent performance and there should also does not exist any type of
hesitation for the purpose of obtaining additional expertise from appropriately qualified
individuals whenever needed. You will work competently and diligently for your
stakeholders. Besides this one should always remain aware of the limitations as well. This is
totally distinct from accepting a task of which the successful completion requires additional
expertise (Nastasi and Naser 2014).
5. Professional Development: According to this code it is very much essential to keep
themselves aware of the new technologies along with the standards and the practices which
are relevant to the work they are conducting. It is expected that special skills and advices are
provided. For doing this it is very much essential to keep the knowledge up to dated. Besides
this encouragement is to be provided to the staffs and the colleagues in order to do the same
(Grace and DRN 2017).
6. Professionalism You will enhance the integrity of the ACS and the respect of its
members for each other. It can be stated one of the most important points which should be
taken into consideration. The main aspect in this field can be related to the practice of work.
In most of the cases it can be seen that the juniors should be interacting with the seniors so
that they can get the most needed help which would be directly helping them to excel in the
different standard of the working of the organisation.
Recommendation
Recommendation 1: one of the most important recommendation is to seek into the
concept of the security of the data. In most of the times it can be seen that the security aspects
are neglected by the organisation which directly impact the personal data of the organisation.
It can have different types of adverse effect. So it can be stated here that the security

implication should be given upmost priority which focus on the aspect of security the data so
that it does not go into the access of any authorised persons.
Recommendation 2: The organisation should be looking to focus on the aspect of the
generation of a new system. The new system which is seen in the case study can be
considered as one of important points due to the concept of the adoptability of the system. It
can be seen sometimes that the system is very much complex and competitive advantage
cannot be achieved from the concept. This can lead to problem in the internal working of the
organisation.
Recommendation 3: The application which is developed in this case should be more
towards the common people so that everyone is able to use the application without any form
of complexity involved into the aspect. The complexity issue can be very much important in
this context due to the factor that it would be directly related to the approach it would be
having towards the people. On the other hand it can be stated that if there is no much
complexity the common people would not be able to interact with the system which would be
a major disadvantage in this sector. Anyone should be able to use the application and directly
take advantage of the concept. If the customers are able to access the application in an easy
manner it would be directly altering the overall business scenario.
Recommendation 4: The updating of the software can be another recommendation
which is very much important. This is due to the factor that it should directly take into
consideration the need of the people. If the need of the people is taken into consideration
there would be high chances of higher interaction with the people which would be very much
beneficial form the point of view of the business. The sector of meeting the demand of the
people can be considered as one of the key points which would be directly helping the

advancing of the business and altering the overall business scenario within the internal as
well as external working of the organisation.
Recommendation 5: The concept of digitalization can be another point which should
be given priority. It should be stated here that in most of the situation people tend to be
attracted towards application which tend to follow a pattern which is very much modern in
approach. The application should be able to attract the customers which would be directly
beneficial in a way of increasing the business of the organisation. It can be stated here that
since the sector of the innovation is directly related to the concept of the internal and external
working of the organisation it should be directed towards the customer (Grace and DRN
2017).
Conclusion
The report can be concluded on a note that the sector of the movement towards a more
innovative approach would be very much beneficial for the Telstra organisation. It can be
stated here that it would be altering the internal as well external working of the organisation.
It most of the cases it is seen that the security aspect of the data of the organisation is one of
the most important factors which plays a dominating role. The report directly puts focus on
the aspect of the innovation in the security implications of the data and how it would be
securing the data of the customers from getting accessed by any of the unauthorised persons.
Another important point which can be stated I this context is the applications interaction with
the user. It should be taken into consideration that the application should not have any type of
complexity so that anybody can easily access the different features which are available in the
application in a complexity less manner. The application should be for the people so that they
could easily get what they need without any type of difficulty. This approach would be very
