4SUSTAINABLE POLICIES
However, the recent market share and the growing competition in the market is posing a
barrier to the organization, for the inclusion of the right methods to approach these areas.
Task 2:
The three most important and easy to adopt sustainable ideas are, creating green Spaces
within the organizational structure, including a recycling attitude, and managing the energy
level of the office.
a. All these attributes can easily be included and incorporated within any business
organizations, small- medium or large. These are the most basic sustainable habits and
should be included in all the workplaces (Katzeff et al., 2013).
b. Firstly, making the workplace a green place can be included by involving a positive
work environment, keeping the area more open, and practicing environmental
sustainable approaches, intro the organizational conducts. Secondly, creating a
recycling culture within the work place. Use of the recycling waste boxes can prove to
be very helpful in that manner. Thirdly, conserving energy, is also a very simple deed
and can easily be incorporated. The energy level of the equipment involved in the
office should be kept in control (Totterdill, & Exton, 2014). The energy consumption
of the office must be checked specially during the holidays and there should be a limit
set, on order to manage this attribute and also to manage the electricity bill.
c. These attributes or strategies of the organization can further be promoted through
advertisements, and thorough organization a relationships. Practicing a green habit is
very sustainable for an organization and can be effective for the same to increase its
business base. The impacts of such a behaviour can further communicated through the
stakeholders by the revenue report and the annual business report (Jilcha, & Kitaw,
2017).
