Tourism has a connotation of entertainment, enjoyment and leisure that we all
connect. The trend of the tourism industry has captured the most untouched beauty of the
world where the traffic has not poisoned the atmosphere but one can rest in the laps of
Mother Nature. In this regard, the European tourists along with the travellers are tryiong to
find out the most exotoc places in the world. Now the beauty of Mediterranean region or
Australian beaches are unique but the destination attractions of Tenerife island of Spain is
also growing. The most important tourist places of this islands are Los Cristiano and Costa
Adeje.
Visit Los Cristianos
Los Cristianos is situated in the southern coast of Tenerife and near Playa De Las
Americas. This place is a small fishing village and has grown into a large town where huge
number of resorts have been developed. For the young people mainly having the age group of
18 to 35, may enjoy this place usually. They can wonder around the old fishing village where
there are buildings in the Canarian type of architecture reminds about the history of this
place.

The nightlife of Los Cristianos is quieter but there are inexpensive taxi drive that can
attract the young tourists to attend the clubs or bars. For the visits with families they are a lot
of great attractions like Siam Park, Aqualand Costa Adeje, Tenerife zoo and monkey Park,
Waterpark Octopus Park and Jungle Park. The Siam Park is the biggest Waterpark in Europe
where the tourists can enjoy the wave pool which is almost three mitres high. In addition to

this there is a beautiful village of Masca which are visited by the young adults referring hills
or hill stations. It is Therefore Los Cristianos has different types of attractive features for or

Visit Costa Adeje
Costa Adeje is also situated in the playa De Las Americas where the young adults can
definitely feel different from the Los Cristianos. The branding of this area has originated due
to impression that Tenerife is actively trying to inspire the families as well as couples to
spend holidays in the Islands full of facilities and enjoyments. This part of Playa De Las
Americas have huge number of clubs and bars that exists in those promenades.

plush hotels with restaurants and bars. The most important factor of Costa Adeje beaches is
that they are sheltered by breakwater that makes the tourists safe while swimming and free

How to reach
This Island is situated in the southern part of Tenerife it has approximately 19
kilometre by road distance from Tenerife Reina Sofia airport. The taxi fares are also
inexpensive but the tourists can also avail bus route 111 for exploring the island more
intensely.
Comparison
The media coverage and images about these two places like Costa Adeje and Los
Cristianos detail the geographical location of these two places properly. The media images
have represented the scenic view of the natural beauty of these two destinations of Tenerife

the images of coverage do not exaggerated the beauty of Tenerife. In addition to this the
information about visiting the place and the facilities which the tourists can find in this two

tourist groups. Starting from the available transport system to food and resorts, these websites
detail all and gave proper information to the tourists. However, the gap of media coverage
and images are not very wide on case of Tenerife visit. In the case of visit to Cyprus areas is
completely different from that of Tenerife. This is due to the fact that these areas are located
in different part of the world. One is situated in Spain and another is situated in the
Mediterranean part. The geography and population are completely different from one
another.
The understanding of the destinations from the media image and coverage is difficult
if the visitor’s feedback is not judged. The on trip experience is more engaging as through
this I have developed my own understanding of Tenerife destinations which cannot be
understood through media coverage or images. It is true that the destinations in the Cyprus
are more developed than that of the Tenerife but the popularity of Los Cristiano and Coastal
Adeje has been growing sharply. The golden beaches and all the facilities mainly attracting
the young students have created much popularity about these two destinations. Despite the
growth of this industry in these two areas are slow but within 10 years both these destinations
will be the first choice of the couples for their holidays along with the student groups and
families due to their scenic beauty and availability of all the modern features of a town.

Hence we can say that the destinations of Los Cristiano and Costa Adeje are situated
in the islands of Playa De Las Americas in the Canary Island. One island competes with the
other in terms of their terrific natural beauty and human made attractions mainly related to
the water parks and zoo. There are several media coverage regarding the growing popularity
of these two destinations or Spain among the young people who prefer to visit calm ocean
beaches and enjoy their moments of leisure.
