Terrorism
Terrorism can be defined as the intentional use of indiscriminate violence which is meant
to create terror or fear among big masses of people which will help the terrorists to achieve their
objectives which could be financial, ideological, religious, political, among many other
objectives (Combs, 2017). Sometimes, the terrorists just attack other people or countries with no
defined objectives but only to cause harm to those people or nations. Terrorism has become a
global problem as many countries have been affected by terrorists who have ended up killing
many citizens and destroying many resources making the citizens and the countries to incur very
huge losses (Lutz and James, 2013).
Terrorism is morally wrong and wicked and should not be tolerated. Different
organizations at national and international levels have condemned terrorism strongly and have
laid out some well-defined guidelines and measures which should help in fighting terrorism
across the world. These organizations have been supported by different religions which also
condemn terrorism strongly and argue that terrorism should not be condoned as it interferes with
not only the human freedom, liberty, and resources but also with some of the most important and
the basic human rights such as the right to life (Clark, 2014). In collaboration with the
governments and the national and the international organizations, these religions have
condemned terrorism and support the governments and these organizations by teaching people to
be good people and avoid involving themselves with the terrorist activities which put their lives
at great risks as they can end be killed by the governments which are always very keen on
fighting terrorism or even being killed by the people around them due to their involvement in
terrorism (McLaughlin, 1996, pp.130-135).

As already said, terrorism is immoral and wicked and causes great losses to the people
and the countries in general. This has made the national and the international organizations in
collaboration with the governments to establish some measures which will help to reduce the
cases of terrorism in their countries and the whole world in general. Some of the major measures
which have been set to help in fighting terrorism include improving the border controls, handling
the financing of terrorism accordingly, reducing radicalization, reducing the people’s access to
those very dangerous weapons, among other measures (Kaplan, 2017). In improving the border
controls, serious measures have been put in place to make sure the national borders are always
under monitoring and any person trying to cross the borders must be checked by the relevant
authorities to be allowed to cross (Brouwer, 2016, pp.151-168). The governments and the
organizations have also been very keen to identify the sources of the finances used in terrorism
and deals with those sources (the people who fund terrorism) accordingly and ruthlessly to make
sure those people will not fund terrorism again. Serious measures have also been put in place to
fight radicalization in order to reduce terrorism and these measures have helped to reduce cases
of terrorism in a great way. Another measure which has been put in place to fight terrorism is
reducing the people’s access especially the ordinary citizens’ access to those very dangerous
weapons. This measure helps to reduce terrorism in a great way since some of the citizens who
would like to involve themselves with terrorism are denied the access to the weapons which can
help them to engage in terrorism. There are many other measures which have been put in place
by different governments and organizations to fight terrorism in their countries and these
measures have proved to be very effective as they have helped to reduce the cases of terrorism in
the world in a great way.

From the discussion above, we can see that terrorism is a major global disaster and has
made many people and countries to suffer from great losses. However, the good news is that
these countries in collaboration with other organizations have been able to come up with some
measures to fight terrorism and these measures have proved to be very effective in fighting and
reducing terrorism in the world. We can end our discussion by saying that terrorism is immoral
and wicked and should not be allowed.
