Statutory Missions
` The United States Department of Homeland security is a federal agency which has the
mission of protecting the US against any kind of internal and external threats. The wide ranging
duties of the homeland security include the likes of the aviation security, control of border and
tackle different kinds of emergency situations. As an additional role, the security agency has the
role to control any forms of cyber security breach. The following US agency has appointed the
best IT experts to tackle the following problem as such a problem can lead to different security
breach issues. The agency is run by the US government in order to avoid any forms of;
a. Terrorist attacks
b. Increase of security
c. Implementation of the different kinds of the US immigration laws
d. Disaster prevention
The United States Homeland Agency has been one of the important agencies that oversee the
different kinds of the security issues that have been problematic for the organization. The federal
government of USA constantly arranges funds and provides the agency with latest technologies
to smoothly operationalise its tasks (White, 2016).
Jurisdiction
The committee of Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs is said to be the primary
committee with jurisdictions on a wide range of different affairs of the government of USA. The

the USA government and recommend if any changes are required. The changes in the

types of governmental affairs, the agency also closely observes on the different forms of
legislations, petitions and other problems that can be helpful for the enhancement of the security
of USA.
It is also important to mention the responsibilities undertaken by the agency regarding the

statutory organization that is important for the success of the company. The strategic alignments
of the agency work in accordance to the security policies of the government of USA (Daalder,
2019). Apart from this the agency also coordinates a border security program that addresses the
different issues in the safety of the borders of USA. The border security proposes different

Objectives
The objectives of the Homeland Security are as follows;
a. Prevention of different Terrorist attacks- The major mission of the organization is to

d. Disaster prevention and recovery programs- The agency amply supports relief operations
in case of deadly natural disasters especially in case of hurricanes and other natural
disasters.

b. More Freedom to develop-The government must provide the necessary freedom to
develop the agency. The best development can come under the total decentralization of
the monitoring departments. The monitoring departments must be decentralized so that
the agency can gain necessary freedom to bind the national security in a structured
manner. The better security of the nation can thus be dependent on decentralization.
c. Technological advancement-The better development of the organization can be provided
with the technological development of the agency. The government must play a pro-

regarding the success of the agency in a success manner. The better training of the
organization can ensure the providence of a better security.
