INTRODUCTION
Community engagement is referred as a process of working collaboratively through groups
of individuals which are affiliated by special interest, geographic proximity as well as similar
situation for addressing various issues of wellbeing of individuals. It is said to be e environment
as well as participation in company for their welfare of community. In general community
engagement is said to be strategic process with a particular purpose of working with determined
groups of individuals that are connected through geographic location or affiliation for identifying
as well as addressing challenges that are affecting their wellbeing. It is used as a process by
company as it helps companies in creating relation which individuals as well as allowing them to
enhance their brand awareness and visibility. This report is based on community engagement of
Tesco which is a British multinational general merchandise and groceries retailer. This report
consists of engagement of company in community by providing support to local cause. This
report includes reflective report of community engagement it on topic making a difference by
supporting local causes across United Kingdom along with its conclusion. It also consists of
various practices which are adapted by businesses and companies in community engagement as
well as participation of stakeholders.

Reflection
This reflection is said to be experiences and activities that are faced and performed by an
individual. As for carrying up report on community engagement on topic making a difference by
supporting local cause across United Kingdom through Tesco, Gibbs reflection model is used for
carrying a project. As Gibbs reflective cycle was developed in 1988 that provides structure to
learning from experiences. This model offers a framework for determining experiences as well as
providing its various factor nature that lends specifically well for repeating experiences, allowing
in individual to learn as well as plan from things that gone well or do not gone well. This model
is described in six stages which consists of description, feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion
as well as action plan. In terms of Tesco of community engagement reflection could be
performed on these stages that are as follows:
Description: As performing study on this project I and my group have decided to divide
various actions among us so as a result we only had to research one element each. As we

were expected that we could research assignment together in afternoon day before
deadline. As meaning that we didn’t have to schedule time for sitting and dieting it
together. For this research I took topic on researching community engagement of Tesco
in community providing support to local cause in United Kingdom. As with this report I
analysed that there are various factors which are providing support to local cause in
United Kingdom. As these factors includes staying focused on human components,
empowering employees, being transparent as well as over communicating, aligning
engagement with business values, being passionate as well as active and getting involved
in community initiatives. I determined that all these factors straight supports to local
cause through company. As Tesco is providing various community engagement tools in
their workplaces so that their employees could be empowered in an effective way. I saw
that by maintaining and building comment in relationship could directly help company in
generating more profitability. As identified that by having community engagement in
company it helps in aligning engagement by creating business values in corporate
markets. As by caring this topic identify that it is necessary and important to build
community engagement relation among other companies helps in providing local cause to
country also in having its economic growth.
Feelings: As before carrying up researching on this topic I realise that it will prove to be
an interesting as well as knowledgeable topic by which I can understand various aspects
and factors which are required for supporting local cause in country by company score. I
was quite happy as well as thought that I and my group members had divided work
between us. As by dividing work into sections and task I was able to perform this project
effectively on with in a provided Time scale. By assigning various tasks to my group
members I was able to carry my research portion effectively without any confusion and
stress. At some point of time I faced little challenges and issues on determining topic that
supports local businesses and creation of brand awareness of company in corporate
markets. But with my affective skills I manage my work with all passion and deligence.
As at starting of this topic study firstly I am felt nervous and little confused about topic
which is to be covered by me but later on when I started my study I was happy an excited
that this topic will proved to be very knowledgeable and I will enhance my knowledge in
terms of carrying out various business practices of Tesco

Evaluation: From this study I evaluated that it is necessary for company like Tesco to
build community engagement incorporate markets for their well going and maintaining
their survival in corporate markets. I examine that Tesco is performing different
community engagement interrelationships that helps in building country's economic
growth. I evaluated that there are various factors that provides interrelationships in
company’s workplace that builds in creating community initiatives by its employees so
that company’s effectiveness can be enhanced. As by keeping transparency as well as
communicating in company through their customers in making their decisions or
implementing any change in their product is essential. I evaluated that communication
helps in building strong relationship with community that straight help in connecting as
well as increasing their brand awareness in corporate market. And for that I value it that
Tesco is designing transparency as well as with their stakeholders that helps them in
creating effective and strong relations between them. The stakeholders of businesses are
said to be its customers, employees as well suppliers and so on. I studied that they require
clear information about Company as they have invested their money and time so for that
by providing them transparency and having better communication with them company
will able to establish community engagement between them on local cause.
Analysis: From this is study I analysed that there are various factors which are to be
performed and required to be carried for building effective community engagement of
company. As analysed that for increasing community engagement in company test score
required to be active on human elements. It was analysed to that there is social concern
that helps Tesco in enhancing its increasing community which provides different benefits
to them. Business are implementing social media for sharing up this motive as it provides
networking as well as also helps in enhancing their engagement. It is necessary for
company to use human element to be actively involved in community that company
should use to have face to face interaction incorporate market that directly helps in
providing active engagement. I analysed that Tesco is using human element for involving
in community as there are various practices like being active on social media that helps
them in consisting society as well as boosting their social image in front of customers.
Conclusion: From this study I came to a conclusion that it is necessary an essential for
company like Tesco to use community engagement practices for maintaining their

survival incorporate market. As community engagement helps in empowering employees
of company. I came to conclusion that practicing community engagement on regular
basis Provides various benefits to company that directly e leads to you have economic
growth and building countries development. As I concluded that by empowering
employees helps company to get involved in them. It is important for Tesco to give
support to their employees for building and enhancing their image along with providing
help to support from local people. Creating and building community engagement helps
in being passionate as well as active in which businesses are involved in designing time
for learning as well as missing from community that directly helps in developing new
ideas for company for their development. I came to a conclusion that community
engagement is said to be a strategy by businesses which is used by Tesco in building as
well as creating relation with individual along with following and along them by creating
brand awareness among customers and in corporate markets for accomplishing their plant
goals and objectives. As a result, I concluded that for creating and building effective
relationship it is necessary e for company to have community engagement in their
operations.
Action plan: As this is study provides me various knowledge and understanding of
community engagement which is used by Tesco for building as well as creating
relationship among its employees so that their planned goals could be achieved in
effective manner along with creating brand awareness in market. By performing this is
study it provides me different it information that could be helpful for me in future for
building my career. This is study provides various information regarding community
engagement practices which are used by Tesco for supporting local cause in United
Kingdom. As with my interpersonal and communication skills I was able to carry up this
study on smooth basis within a specific period of time. This is study will be helpful in
building my career in entrepreneurship venture. As in future if I selected my career as
running a business company this topic will be beneficial for me in building and creating
relationship with stakeholders so that my company will be able to enhance more by
generating profitability which straight lead to have economic growth of country. There
are various factors in terms of action plan that will be carried by me for performing this

study. This is study will provide me a knowledgeable guidance for building my future as
well as enhancing my career development.

said to be important element of businesses which are acquired to be performed on regular basis.
