A primary research is conducted so that data can be collected and processed into useful
information. In primary research, data is collected for the first time. In order to achieve the aim
and objectives, researcher conducted research by taking interview of 20 employees. With this, it
was easy for him to collect primary data so that results can be generated. In interview, many
open ended questions were asked to them. Employees also effectively answered all the questions.

Interpretation and analysis: A research was conducted by researcher in Tesco to analyse the use
of social media advertising on promotional activity. For this, 20 employees were selected by
random sampling method. Data was collected by conducting interview of employees. From this,
it was identified that 15 employees said that Tesco is using different types of digital tools and
equipment in various operations. They further added that major use of tools is in marketing
department. It has enabled in developing effective marketing strategies. Due to this, many people
