INTRODUCTION
In the modern world, globalization has become the key to success for many different
organizations, it can also be said that when many economies of the world are interdependent
on each other for doing trade and conduction business activities, then that is termed as the
globalization. In this project, report focuses on finding out the impact of globalization on the HR
function with the organization, i.e. Tesco, UK. Tesco is known as the large multinational
company which deals in the retail sector, this company is also very famous and known as the
ninth largest retail company because of the higher revenue generation. The company serves its
products and services in many countries across the world and so here in this report, it’s, various
impacts of globalization within the HR function of the organization will be discussed in detail.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF PROJECT
In every organization, there are aims and objectives that help the company to grow and expand
their business operations. Various companies focus on devising their strong aims and objectives
because they can plan their strategies to fight with the tough competition in the market and
can work on increasing their profitability by satisfying the needs and requirements of their
customers (Kerzner and Kerzner, 2017). Here, the project report aims at analysing the impact of
globalization on the HR function within the organization Tesco, UK.
Aims
The major aim of the company Tesco is to discover how the different areas that are involved in
globalization affect the HR function and their operations in the company. As the globalization is
the wider term and it is affected by many other factors, these such as, economic, political,
ethical, technological etc. these areas will affect the organization’s functions in many ways that
will be analysed in this study (Kerzner and Kerzner, 2017).
Objectives
The key objection of the report is as follows:
To evaluate the influence of the globalization on the HR function in TESCO
To evaluate the impact on different functional areas of Tesco due to globalization
To assess how growth and productivity of the organization could be increased by the
impact of globalization (Kerzner and Kerzner, 2017)
The completion of the various aims and objectives that are discussed above will help the

DEFINITION OF PROJECT
The project report has been conducted to examine the impact of globalization on the HR
function in the organization, TESCO, UK. The study will help in gaining knowledge and a lot of
information about how various areas associated with globalization has a positive impression on
business operations (Perkins et al., 2017).
STATEMENT OF PROJECT
The business operations of the company TESCO has got many benefits from the introduction of
globalization. The factors such the improvement in technology, CSR improvement, and
development in areas such as political, social, cultural etc. of the business has supported Tesco
in their growth and success (Heagney, 2016). For the organization, it is very necessary to
analyse the positive impact of these factors of globalization and formulate strategies for further
improvement of the business.
STRATEGY OF PROJECT
The project manager of the company is planning strategies for the attainment of the outcomes
and objectives that are already planned in the project.
The following strategies are as follows:
The organization need to make use of the positive impact of globalization in their future
strategies for the success of the organization, i.e. strategies of the company need to be

of information and can get many growth prospects. But along with that, there is also a
challenge for the companies that, if they want to expand and grow with the globalization they
need to bring new innovations for satisfying their customer’s need so that company would be
able to maintain the current and the future demands .
The company Tesco need to focus on some of the functional Areas so that they can conduct
their operations effectively with the introduction of globalization. The areas such as the political
and the changes in economic factors could affect the organization in both negative as well as
positive manner (Taylor et al., 2015). Tesco needs to plan strong strategies so that would be
able to work on these areas for the growth of the company through globalization.
Research that has been taken up by Lindlof and Taylor, (2017) states that globalization is an
important aspect that can improve many aspects of the company and could also support many
activities related to the diversification of the company. Taylor et al., (2015) say that,
Globalization could also help in influencing other competitors in the market. With the
expansion of the business operation across the world help in the integration of many
economies and also provide many other benefits in many trade operations. Here in this report
for this research will be beneficial in improving the work efficiency of the HR department along
with development in other areas. This research conducted by the company could also help in

are 50. The responses through these people will be used by the company in further major
