HR function of business.
INTRODUCTION
Globalisation refers to increase in cross broader transactions and trading activities. It
leads towards expansion of economic and political activities at wider level. The business can
make profit through globalization by increasing trade transaction at global level. Assignment is
based on Tesco plc. It deals in groceries and retail products (Hair Jr and et.al., 2015). The firm
established in the year 1919 by Jack Cohen. Headquarters of the firm are situated in
Hertfordshire in England.
The project report will define the aims and objectives of the study. In this assignment a
management plan will produce which covers all the aspects including scope and time. In
addition, it will produce a work breakdown and a Gantt Chart in order to provide time-frames
Furthermore, small scale research will carry out by applying quantitative and qualitative
methods. Appropriate recommendations will be given based on data analysis and results of the
research. Lastly, the report will put reflection on the value of undertaking this research in order
to meet the stated objectives.

P2 Project management plan
Project management plan is the most essential part of project work in which many
elements included such as monitoring, closing, executing, planning etc. scope, cost of labour and
other things, quality, HR, risk etc. is also included in project management plan.
Cost-
Project cost is the tool used by project manager to estimate the sum budget of the project.
With the help of well defined budget it is easy to accomplish work on time with all the aspects
required in project.
Scope-
To analyse the economic, cultural and ethical impacts of globalisation on HR function. A
case study is based on TESCO.
Time-
Time is one of the essential components within PMP as it helps to define the overall
schedule of project and starting and ending of work.
Quality-
Quality standards must be followed by the project manager within project which is
essential for them.
Risk-
Project manager must focuses on project management plan in order to accomplish their
goals and objectives. With the help of risk register management can be able to managed further
or current risk. It considers as one of the best way to well manage risk and risk register
contribute to handle any situation.
Communication-

Research Methodology
It is systematic plan that deliberated the steps of the research procedure. It includes tools
and techniques to obtain data. This is the process to collect the data and relevant information for
the research study.
Research type – There are two types of research types namely, qualitative and quantitative.
Qualitative research consist of the opinions and reasons that is helpful for the researcher to
identify the solution to the problem whereas quantitative research deals in numerical facts and
figures (Kumar, 2019). Thus, in this study the researcher will use Qualitative research type to
obtain the desired results.
Research Philosophy – It is the belief about the phenomenon in which the data is being
gathered. There are three types of research philosophy Positivism, Interpretivism and
Pragmatism. Positive research explain the solutions to the problem in very precise manner.
Pragmatism use opinions of the others, it didn't deliberate something of own findings whereas
Interpretivism study involves the human interest into the research. Thus, the Interpretivism
Philosophy is taken to conduct this study.
Research Design – It uses various methods and procedures to analysis and interpret the data. It
describes the manner in which data is being gathered. There are four type of research design
namely, Descriptive, Exploratory, Diagnostic and Experimental. Descriptive research design is
being used while undertaking this research. As it is helpful for describing the characteristic of the
phenomenon in detail (Walliman, 2017).
Research Approach – It consists of broad anticipation to collect the data by using various
methods. Research approach is of three types first one is deductive that is helpful in formulating
hypothesis second one is abductive which is incomplete it explains surprising facts (Dumay and
Cai, 2015). Third one is inductive it starts with the aims and objectives and doesn't formulate
any hypothesis. Thus, Inductive research is being used to determine the exact solutions to the
research problem.
Data Analysis – It refers to the process of transforming and inspecting in order to obtain the
useful information and supporting conclusions. Data can be of two types qualitative and
quantitative (McCusker and Gunaydin, 2015). Qualitative data is being used in this study as it
provide real facts through using narrative and framework analysis.

Sampling – It refers to the process of statistical analysis. Simple Sampling is being used in this
study. Questionnaire is being in which 30 respondents is being taken.
Ethical Consideration – While conducting this research the researcher obtains the data, facts
and figures of third party by granting permission. All the ethical and moral principle is being
considered during this course of the study. No harm and illegal conduct is deliver to anybody.
This research is based on Ethical consideration.

will be the same because they have fixed working structure.

and workers knowledge. 20 people think that training and development will get higher cost for
TESCO while they operating into other nation. Training and development plans need more
investment and consume a lot of time which impact on company financial budgets and
profitability. Workers training costs tend to be higher for TESCO as they operate globally. But
on the other side 10 respondents believe that training and development will not incur higher cost
for company as they perform into new market place. They think that it is beneficial for overall
business growth and contribute to give tough competition its competitors.

Interpretation- Economic factors usually affect TESCO business include customer
behaviour, interest rate, employment elements, inflation etc (Coleman, 2016). 15 respondents
among 30 think that unemployment rate is one of the economic factors that impact on HR
function of TESCO. Human resource management of company must make plans based on hiring
new applicants which is essential for improving economic status and beneficial for reducing
unemployment rate. On the other side 15 people feel that economic factors does not make any
impact on Human resource functions of TESCO. Due to unemployment rate in nation HR
cannot be able to hire new ones because they already have large number of employees and does
not have much space to hire the new ones.

It is recommended to researcher for using different types of techniques or tools in this
research in order to gain positive results (Dunning, 2014). Secondary data collection methods is
also beneficial as like primary, researcher must used secondary data gathering technique in
which they can be able to conduct research in depth and gather more information based on
chosen topic or subject. They should used deductive approach in research project which is
essential and beneficial for finding and results final conclusion perfectly. Research should follow
all the ethical standards in research that is useful and beneficial for project privacy as well as
respondents.

From above it has been concluded that globalisation put positive and negative impact on
TESCO human resource function as well as other. Researcher will use various types of Research
methodology techniques such as primary data collection, inductive research approach and other
which is beneficial for overall research and helps to gather better outcomes. Researcher used
primary data collection method in order to interpretate question and find out their appropriate
answers. Furthermore, secondary data collection method is recommanded to researcher that they
must used while doing research based on any other topic in order to achieve goals.
