Introduction
The term globalization can be understood as a process that depends on interaction and integration
among people and companies across the nation. This can be due to international trade
investments, business options and trade opportunities associated with the countries and their
global venture. The report will be discussing the impact of globalization on human resource
activities in Tesco one of the largest groceries retailers in the UK. The report will be based on the
overall analysis of globalization and the positive factors that have been collected due to the
impact globalization on HR functions. The report will be highlighting factors associated with the
hiring and development of features associated with new employees and maintaining the quality
of old employees by developing their growth functions and development features associated with
them. The focus of the report will be on the development of overall global needs and
understanding the impact on HR and various factors associated with them. This has been seen in
the process that the overall development needs of a company depend upon the global functions
associated with them.

P1 Devise project aims and objectives for a chosen scenario
The research will be based on the understanding that one can gather while developing an
effective understanding and needs based on the globalization. The report focuses on the various
HR functions of TESCO and the impact on the culture and economy of the company.
Background of the study
The project report is based on the understanding of cultural and operational features associated
with the global development and associated features on the growth of the company and making
effective application of the same on the overall development of the organization and making
substantial changes in the growth of the same. This can be seen in the research that globalization
has developed certain values associated with the overall development associated with the
company and the policies made by the company to deal further in the future (Bond and O'Byrne,
2014).

The aim of the research is “To study the positive economic, cultural, and ethical impacts of
globalization on HR function”
The objective of the project
The major objectives associated with the research are:

Cost: The estimated cost of the project is around £3000 that includes collection and selection of
resources thus making in order to make sure there is an effective budgeting and proper cost
allocation I the research. The overall cost structure is based on the effective development of
resources and needs associated with the globalization study.
Scope: The scope of this research is to identify various process and methods associated with
globalization and making changes in the overall development of an individual and making
changes in the associated needs of the economy. The research is also based on the economic and
cultural study and develop an effective way to study globalization and its structure associated
with the. The scope of the research also includes the application of research data and process in
the development of future HR practices to develop ethical and cultural values in the organization.
Time: The time interval that has been taken to study the global impact on TESCO is around 2

The research is based on the study of globalization and its positive impact on TESCO the same is
unable to study without applying appropriate research methods and associated values. The
research here is based on the application of various methods that include the effective application
of research methodologies in the research. The first research methodology that is involved in the
research is qualitative research methodology. This kind of research is based on the collection of
data through secondary data resource and making substantial changes in the data platform
associated with them. This method is based on the data collected through previously printed
journals and articles in association with the global platform associated with the research. The
globalization has been one of the very common and most important factors associated with the
research and has been used in order to deal with the needs associated with the same (McCusker
and Gunaydin, 2015). The qualitative method gives good understanding but does not give current
data and values associated with the research. In order to achieve desired aims and objectives,
there was a need to adopt a methodology that not only delivers the impact of past but can also
help in the analysis and collection of data associated with the research. Another methodology
that has been used in the research is quantitative research methodology, this kind of mythology
is more focussed on the current facts and figures associated with the research and make effective
changes in the overall development needs associated with the study of globalization. This
research is based on survey and questioner that has been made in order to have a face to face
interview with the selected sample size of 30 people that has been useful in making effective
changes in the HR operations of TESCO. This research is based on the collection of responses
associated with the sample size involved in the research (Miller, et. al., 2012).
In order to collect more data, there has been research conducted in order to determine the
relativity with globalization and HR practices.
