The report here will highlight about the various aspects of human resource practices so that the
personal as well as professional skills can be analyzed and determined. The initial part will
highlight about the various job skills based on their positions as it will enable in analyzing the
time management and personal skills of individuals. In order to determine the individual skills
SWOT analysis will also be conducted as through this the weak areas can be determined and
accordingly actions for improvement can be taken. The last part of report will evaluate the
contribution of employees within the Tesco Plc so as to gain competitive advantage. With this,
various suggestions to the firm has also been provided which will enable Tesco Plc to improve
their performance in the competitive market.

A Tesco PLC is a public limited company of the UK. It is a retailer mechanise company trading
in the multinational groceries products. This company having its business headquarter in the city
Welwyn Garden City. The role of the HR of the Tesco PLC Company is to analysis business and
employee skills by set up various standards in front of the employee through which they pass in
order to fulfil the skill criteria so that HR of the company satisfy with their skills. The HR of the
concern company is work towards the employee to provide appreciation when they do their work
effectively and efficiently (Tescoplc, 2019). CPD ensure the HR maintain and use employee
knowledge and skills in the professional for delivering quality services to the customers, society
and other. In this way, HR also works towards the CPD for increasing efficiency of employees so
they can deliver their work efficiently.
Here it will be discussed on the skills and attributes of the production manager of the Tesco PLC
Company.
Quality manager: The function and role of a quality manager is to overlook the quality of the
product which is going to be delivering in the market. The reason is the customers of the Tesco
Company always prefer quality of the products which are manufactured by the company. The
other function of this manager is to understand the needs and demands of the customers for
developing an effective quality control over the production unit (Belcher, 2019). It also performs
the function to set and fulfil the requirement t of raw material on time so that production team
can manufacture products and meet the objectives of business of the company as well as their
customers.
Payroll manger: Payroll manager is the manger of the concern company which maintain
contained the entire unit information regarding payroll (Belcher, 2019). The function of this
manger is to maintain all the information of the company which regarding the cost related
because this manger is directly associated or connected to the cost and it possess business cost
related information whether the money investment in business and other business concern area.
A payroll manager has the ability and possesses capabilities to play two different functions at a
time simultaneously. He can play the role of managerial role and strategic role in business.

The goal for developing proper communication would be achieved by arranging a meeting

skills which are required to be a professional production manager:
Planning Skills- Production manager should be able to manage and plan all the activities related

Technical Skills- A production manager should have a good knowledge about the technical
machines and equipment used in the production.
Problem-solving skills- This is basic form of the skills which every production manager should

Leadership skills- A good leader will help in effective and efficient planning of the target. Also,

also important because it helps the business to run effectively and efficiently. This is because
once a person knows about his skill; he will be able to handle the task and operations (Oduaran,
2015). Also, the CPD helps is giving a meaningful contribution to the organization. CPD also
helps in moving the person forward. Once a person knows his skills, he will be able to improve
which will help in achieving new positions and new management. CPD also leads to increased
