Introduction
Multinational organization is referred as the business firms that owns and operates subsidiaries in more
than one country. Tesco is one of the significant supermarket chains in UK operating worldwide.
Recently the organization is concern about its training, recruitment and selection policies to meet the
competitive advantage in the host country. Thus, the international practices influence the business HR
policies in global context. The shown report will carry out the project to have understanding on the
impact of HR policies for creating competitive benefits and meeting up with international requirements.
The report will frame and execute the project with the involvement of quantitative research. The
methods and analysis of the research will be considered for their usability and usefulness in
investigation. Finally, the collected information will be examined to give up the findings,
recommendations and conclusion.

P1 Devise project aims and objectives for a chosen scenario
Introduction
As the organization is moving forward for the global market to meet the increased growth and business
expansion, it impact on the HR policies also. The trilogy of the modern economy is dependent on the
organization working across as MNC. Tesco the largest supermarket chain in UK has to consider the
recruitment and selection as it priority. In the era of competition, every firm has wants to meet the
competitive benefits by managing improved technologies and taking several approaches such as quality
enhancement, cost reduction and leadership etc. But it will increase the operational performance of the
business up to some point. Hence to move above it, organization has to focus importantly on human
resource (Noe et.al. 2017). The presented project has the vision to understand the international
requirements and impact of HR recruitment and selection in meeting the competitive benefits.
Project management
A project is the provisional work undertaken for getting the desired result and project management is
carrying out the sequential activities that can be implemented to meet the competitive advantages and
strategic result with correct integration to the capabilities and constraints of the business. Hence, the
process of project management includes the planning, monitoring, implementing, controlling and
finalising activities in project work. It includes several steps that are mentioned below:-
Defining: This stage has the significant role to develop the definitions of the project on the chosen area
or subject. It also describes the project working and the business and individual scope. It has clear
subject and outcome conceptualization (Kerzner and Kerzner, 2017).
Initialising: This stage has the important role to begin the project to the corresponding researchers or
leaders. The project beginning concentrates on getting the approvals to start the project.
Planning: In this category the project risk, time, cost, contingency and resources are identified and
planned. It focuses on the capabilities and limitation planning to make sure that the project is
implemented professionally.

Implementing: The major objectives and goals, scope and definition of the project can be applied to
execute the work. This stage shows indication to give the outcomes with performance, integration and
quality requirements.
Monitoring and controlling: This stage concentrates on increment and adhering to performance and
quality for defining the project to make sure that the results are used within the limitations designed
(Heagney, 2016).
Closing: This stage has the major activity for contract signing for the research and then passes the final
documentation to the mentors.
Aims and objectives
Aims: The foremost aim of the study is to understand the impact of HR recruitment, selection and
training on creating the competitive benefits by meeting the international requirements of Tesco.
Objectives:

 To understand Tesco efforts for recruitment, selection and training policies to meet the
international requirements
 To examine the impact of HR policies on competitive advantage of Tesco over its competitors
P2 Produce a project management plan
The project has to assess the project potentials and limitations with useful information on the plan of the
project so as to optimise the quality and performance. The document concentrates on planning of
business limitations with linking to the project objectives.
Cost: The usefulness of the budget and cost can give greater profits. The project has determined the cost
around $1000 that includes the cost in relation to tools, activities, human resources and techniques
applied. The crucial cost estimated will be consumed in the period of data collection and analysis of the
research.
Scope: The deliverables resulted will help the Tesco in reducing the negative impact on HR policies
with meeting international requirements and competitive benefits. The research can integrate the

business with the latest trends and procedures so that consistency and profitability can be met to have
good understanding on the risks and advantages (Nicholas and Steyn, 2017).
Time: The delay in responses can significantly influence and results into low profits. The research is
predicted to complete in 6 weeks around that includes the time in relation to change management and
quality assurance as well. There will be two milestones at the end of each three months to meet
performance.
Quality: It is calculated at the completion of the activity while responsibilities are allocated to the team
to get the quality in implementation. The daily reporting, performance review and log book are designed
to get the quality assurance.
Communication: the foremost need is to have the proper communication to make sure uninterrupted
services. Meetings, seminars, interviews and emails are some of the major communications to be used.
Risk: The proper mitigation strategy will help to meet the reliable outcomes and challenges. The
inclusion of contingency plans for the topic will also be used in case of any need (Kerzner, 2018).
Resources: The project has constrained resources and the need of journals, books, internet connection is
the major resource for collecting the information and assessing the entire procedure.
Findings
The core needs of the research are addressed to have assurance about feasibility and execution. The
planning also includes the contingencies to meet the challenges and risks impacts of the project.

Gantt chart is also taken to allocate the activities in resources and performance management and
outcome progress. The main purpose of this chart is to manage the progress and integrate the results to
the limitations like time.

Feasibility analysis: The viability of the limitations and potentials in the project is analyzed in the
business. The feasibility analysis is concentrates on getting the higher returns so that literature and
analysis are applied to get the good returns. Along with, the project success can open the opportunities
for the business to get competitive advantage and international requirements.

Milestone schedule: There are basically the two milestones seen in Gantt chart. The first one reflects
that the project finished the data collection and project research (Heldman, 2018). The second one shows
the review and monitoring of work against the objectives and then gives it to the authority associated in
this context.
Project schedule: The project schedule is presented in the Gantt chart only that involves activity, time
and duration name.

Suitability:
Quantitative research approach makes the use of questionnaire, interview or survey. The research
method gives immediate data and reliability but there is requirement to give the useful sample size to
increase the quality but is also creates complexities for the participants in physical procedure. At other
side, the investigator can make use of qualitative approach to understand the opinions of authors or
articles in the same subject (Kumar, 2019). It support in fats collection of information but it is linked

has made application of both the methods.
