INTRODUCTION
Corporate strategy can be defined as a company’s overall strategic plan that outlines the overall

long-term and clearly defined direction of the company. It is one of the most important components for an
organization as it ensures effective allocation of the resources as well as improve its overall position
within the market. Organization chosen for this research is Tesco, which is multinational retailer of
groceries headquartered in England, United Kingdom. The company was founded in the year 1919 by
Jack Cohen. The report identifies and explains the problem of a large number of managers being replaced
in Tesco. A Gantt chart showing the start and finish of project is also included in the research.

important to implement this concept in the system. The process of resource allocation helps in enhancing
the overall productivity levels as well as employee morale of the employees in the company.

company decided to remove manager employees who were responsible for handling recruitment and other
matters relating to the workforce of the company (Tesco to shed up to 1,700 jobs in new management
shake-up, 2019). The primary obligations of those new managers are too powerful cope with subjects like
human aid allocation, across multiple shops. As this would aid in getting their efforts for gaining highly
competitive benefit at marketplace. It has evaluated the primary purpose at the back of replacement of
those managers is irrelevant usage of human resource. The company also hired new managers in order to
carry out business operations effectively.
In order to allocate resources properly, the company has decided to hire new managers. But this
can also be done by opting various other strategies wherein there will be no requirement of replacing the
current employees. Effective training should be provided to the staff members in the human resources
department, so that they acquire new skills. Also, an effective budget should be developed so that all the
expenses can be overlooked and managed effectively.
Research Methodology
Primary Methods – Primary methods of a research help the researcher in collecting data that is
accurate, reliable as well as first hand. Some examples of primary methods of data collection are
observation questionnaires, focus groups etc. The collection of data through these methods consume a lot
of time in addition to money. One of the fine benefits of number one strategies of research are that they
may be customized in line with the want of researcher.
Secondary Methods – Online articles, diaries, books, journals are some examples of secondary
methods of collecting data. These are more cost and time effective as compared to primary methods
(Rugman and Verbeke, 2017). One of the best ways to gather secondary data is through official
government websites and agencies.
Quantitative Research – This is a kind of research herein results are represented in the form of
numbers, graphs and statistics (Chatterji and et. al., 2016). Different methods by which information or
data can be gathered for a quantitative research include online polls, questionnaires, interviews etc. The
methods of collecting information for this type of research are comparatively more structured as
compared to qualitative research.
Qualitative Research Qualitative research is basically carried out in order to
understand the reasons behind a particular problem. The results cannot be expressed in the form
of numbers or graphs but facts and figures. The behavior of target audience can also be
