This study involves discussion
regarding Strategic Issue that HR within
Tesco is facing and will later discuss
about what are possible solutions to
solve these problems. This study will
also involve analysis of different
sources, material and research method.
Strategic HR issue that Tesco is facing
is Fostering innovation throughout the
organisation. This is one of key issue
that organisations’ HR is facing. As
innovation has become very important
for growth and success of organization
it is very important that workforce of
the organisation is aware of importance
of innovation and different ways
through which they can be innovative.
Objective of this study is to identify
how HR in Tesco can foster innovation
throughout the organisation.
Results
Research suggests that Tesco can foster innovation
throughout its workforce by changing is policies
and also be adopting some of the strategies like
rewarding and recognising unique and innovative
ideas and approach of working. In addition to this,
in order to foster innovation within workforce it is
also important that Tesco allows employees to
make decision within criteria of their job role and
encourage them to be creative.
Conclusion
On the basis of this research it can be concluded
that innovation has become very important for
sustainability of the organisation. Retain industry
organisations are also focusing on innovation and
digitalisation of their practices and this generated
requirement for Tesco that in order to remain
competitive it also focus on innovation and
creativity within organisation.
Recommendations
On the basis of discussion it can be recommended
that instead of secondary research primary research
would have been more effective as it allows in-
depth knowledge from original source.
Concerned with discussed research topic it is
recommended that Tesco should adopt right
policies and strategies for innovation. However as
Tesco has large workforce it requires creating
leaders on different levels who can provide
guidance to workforce.

Existing literature about this problem is enough to outline different reasons because of it has become vital for organisations to
encourage workforce to be innovative and creative. Tesco operates within retail industry and as firms in retail industry are getting
more innovative, it has become very important that Tesco also becomes innovative and technological innovation has also become
important for Tesco. Concerned with this HR has a huge influence on organisational practices that fosters innovation and creativity
within organisation. This is because HR is responsible for creating different policies and strategies to influence and regulate
workforce within organisation. Different literatures regarding this outlines that key source of innovation within organisation is its
workforce. Along with being source successful creation and implementation of innovation within organisation also has vital role of
the workforce of organisation.
Related to this contemporary professional policies also have important role in this encouraging workforce for being
innovative. As organisations are focusing on hiring best employees and those who are creative and this is an first and most
important policy through which they can foster innovation throughout the organisation. This policy is regarding recruitment and
selection within organisation. This means that various organisations have significant emphasis on hiring creative individuals within
organisation so that they have an effective and qualitative workforce in organisation. This is vital for fostering creativity within
organisation. In addition to this policies regarding employee involvement is also for success of fostering creativity within
organisation. Organisations when allow employees to participate in organisational decision-making employees become able to
share their ideas and opinion and this plays important role in fostering creativity throughout the organisation. Along with these
policies regarding this, in which organisations have a focus on recognising those who are creative and innovative in their approach
is also related to this problem.
This means that organisations are strongly focusing on innovation within workforce and this is why different policies have
been developed. In present business environment and employment environment employees are also being given liberty to make
decisions and become innovative in their approach so that they can realise their goals and become successful through innovation
and creativity.
