The relationship between leadership and management in
contemporary business environment is described in this

management.

Leaders are forward thinking and are mainly
concerned with attaining long-term business goals
of the company. Leaders at TESCO focus on
attaining long-term strategic objectives of the firm.
Leaders are people focused and prioritize success

business (Hoang and et.al., 2020). Leaders at
TESCO build strong relationships with their
subordinates to increase their performance.
Managers are concerned with attaining short-term
goals of the company and completing daily

concerned with designing and managing end to end

From the above presentatation it is determined that leaders and management play
an important role in success of business firms. The roles and characteristics of
leaders and managers are different. Leaders and managers have to complete
important functions and roles during various organizational situations such as
crisis management and new product launch. In addition to this, contingency
leadership approach, situational leadership approach and systems leadership
approach helps leaders in various business situations.
