E-commerce has become the recent trend for the growth and development of the
organization which influence business to grab the attention of large number of buyers. The
present report is based on Tesco a British multinational grocery and general merchandise retailer
which deals in several kind of products and services. The corporation is having its online
presence to stay competitive and meet the expectations of buyers. The report report will cover
the detail discussion related to use of internet technologies for creating the competitive edge of
the business.
Current operation of Tesco
The corporation is expanding itself on online portal to a great extent with the wide range
of products and services. However, company is facing challenges from Ocado the internet only
grocer. For this purpose, management is shedding light on grocery store of Tesco. Apart form
this, non-food products such as home-wares and clothing are provided by the corporation.
However, both physical and online stores are focused by the management or marketing team
effectively to determine its overall growth. In this manner, business is creating the competition
for the existing retailers such as Sainsbury.
ANALYSIS
According to Kang, Mun and Johnson (2015) online marketing is very helpful for the
business to acquire to the attention of customers as presently they do not have much time to visit
the online store. For this purpose, business opt the e-commerce related to strategies by
introducing mobile application or other to provide easy access for shopping for the consumers.
He further stated that intenet facilitates to save the major time of corporation and consumers both
and accordingly overall rate of return can be increased to a great extent. However, it is very
important to keep the fast track over the orders placed by the customers.

electronic changes. Now businesses effectively promote their products and services by using
several mode of communication,. The most effective aspect is of social media marketing under
which consumers get the detail information related to varied necessary products. Not only this
but the fashion segment is also on boom as internet marketing is evolving. They critical
evaluated that introduction of online marketing narrowed down the scope of physical stores as
customers less likely to get attract from the same.

RECOMMENDATIONS
In order to create the leading position in the marketplace business must follow below
mentioned strategies-
Update the professional website of the business on time to time which will provide
meaningful information to the client and accordingly higher rate of return can be created.
Appropriate portal must be formed to resolved the queries of customers by providing the
quick response. It would be effective to get the positive review and ensure goodwill of
the business.
The quality which is being offered via online mode must be matched with the information
provided by the corporation. This would be effective to retain customers and provide the
sense of attachment among them towards the corporation.
