business was impacted due to pandemic and have to change their business structure to meet the
demand. Workplace transformation occur due to global pandemic, when employees were lock
down in their homes, business made certain changes in the employee management process
(Aroles and et.al., 2021). Workplace transformation means change in pattern of managing people
and their work, business faced certain challenges. COVID-19 have introduced certain new ways
to manage people and their performance, business compulsory have to bring major changes
which impact their positioning in highly competitive market.
Background of the study:
This study is based on Tesco, this company is one of the largest supermarket chain that
have wide range of product to fulfil rising demand of the customer. Tesco have global footprint
and great brand image because of their quality product provided to customer in the market
(Pataki-Bittó and Kapusy, 2021). This company have brand image and reputation that allow
them to become competitive in the market, strong management of the company helped them to
survive global pandemic and helped them to manage workplace transformation.

The aim of this project is “To investigate impact of global pandemic on boosting workplace
