INTRODUCTION
There are different factors and elements that will lead to have impact on performance and
productivity of business. it is essential for organisation to analyse and evaluate different factors
in order to successfully and effectively conducting required set of practices (Hockenbury and
Nolan, 2018). The major factors which includes performance of business and its employees
includes personal, environmental as well as behaviour factors. This reports is based on Tesco
company. This is well established company that is providing its products and services to large
market area. Tesco is a British multinational company and its head office is located in Welwyn
Garden City, Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom. Founder of Tesco company is Jack
Cohen and this company was developed in year 1919. This report will examine different aspects
of personal, environmental and behavioural factors form Bandura’s Social Cognitive theory.
MAIN BODY
There are number of factors which influence the performance of business as well as affect
over its capabilities to attain desired goals. It is crucial that Tesco company is considering
different aspects and elements that influence over productivity of business. it will assist in
enhancing overall performance of business as well as accomplishing desired goals and objective
in set time frame. The major factor which influence over performance or productivity of business
includes personal, environmental as well as behavioural. It will have direct or indirect influence
over performance of company along with this it affect decision making of organisation. It is very
important for respective company to identify and analyse each and every aspects of personal,
behaviours as well as environmental factors in order to take correct decision which is beneficial
for company as well as its growth.
Bandura’s Social Cognitive theory was established by Albert Bandura in year 1977. He
agrees with the concept of behaviourist learning theories that is related to classical conditioning
as well as operant conditioning theory (Persson, R. et al., 2014). In Bandura’s social cognitive

theory he has added two important idea that includes mediating process which occurs between
stimuli and responses. Another point that is added in this theory includes behaviour is learned
from the environment by considering the process of observational learning. This model was
developed by consideration of children as the model. Through this it has been identified that
there are various elements that will lead to have impact on overall performance and behaviour of
the person. For example children are surrounded by different influential aspects that includes
family members, parents, friends, TV characters, peers group, teachers and many more. All of
these will lead to have significant impact on how individual behave or carry out practices
(Boateng and et al., 2016). Through this model it has been identified that children will observe or
imitate behaviour which includes masculine, feminine, pros, anti social as well as many more. It
has been identified that children will pay attention to different individual or people as well as
encode their behaviour.
Factors such as personal, behaviour and environmental will impact each other as well as
influence over capabilities of individual to carryout required practices. It has been analysed that
environmental factors will lead to have significant influence over people behaviour and
motivation to act in certain manner (Tuffrey‐Wijne and et.al., 2020). This will lead to have
influence over individual mood and attitude which impact on their behaviours. It is crucial for
Tesco company to analyse the impact of environmental, personal as well as behaviour aspects in
order to correctly manage the performance of employees. By providing correct and accurate
working environment respective company is able to successfully enhance behaviours as well as
personal aspects of employees to attain set goals and objectives. Bandura’s Social Cognitive
theory or model is related to change and learning. This is significant model which is providing
guidance and direction to company. so that it can determine the impact of influence of these
factors of overall performance or productivity of employees. This is effective theory that is
effective for change and learning for betterment of business and its practices (Bratton, 2016).
This model can be used by organisation in order to teach positive behaviour as well as increase
desired behaviour to attain set goals. It has been determined that through this model changes in
environment and behaviour can be determined as well as use significant to accomplish desired
goals and actions.
Bandura’s Social Cognitive theory has determined that importance of motivation and mental
state. It has been analysed that observation is not significant element that leads to learning for

individual but motivation as well as mental state of person is also very important. This will lead
to have direct impact or influence on learning of person as well as reinforcement in shapes
learning. Bandura’s Social Cognitive theory is supportive in analysing the external factors are
not only the result of individual learning but there are internal factors also that will lead to have
significant impact on learning or behaviour of person. Learning of a person does not always lead
to change in behaviour of person. Through this theory different factors such as personal,
behavioural as well as environmental factors have been analysed (Huang, Chang and Chou,
2020). It has been determined that all of these are crucial and important factors which lead to
have direct impact on overall performance and potential of Tesco company to conduct required
set of practices (Astuti and Istiyono, 2020). Through this personal factors includes all those
elements which are related to internal capabilities or potential of a person. This includes different
aspects such as knowledge, expectation or attitude. Behaviours factor consist of different
elements such as skills, practices, self efficiency and many more. Environmental factors consist
of those elements which are related to external environment such as social norms, accessing in
community, influence on other and so on.
There are different factors that will lead to have impact on Tesco company as well as
affect over performance of respective company employees. It has been analysed that each and
every individual have different behaviours and other aspects that will have direct influence over
their potential to conduct task in required manner. through this research it has been analysed that
some people have positive attitude towards working with Tesco company where as some other
employees are not happy to work with respective company (Krawczyk and Showalter, 2020).
Differences in opinion of person is the reason of difference in behaviours or personal aspects of
individual. The major factor that affect employees or Tesco company performance includes
personal factors, behavioural factor and environmental factor. Personal factor includes the
knowledge, attitude or expectation of employees form respective business. Lack of knowledge
about working will lead to negatively affect the performance of employees as they are not able
to carry out business practices significantly (Zewail-Foote, 2020). For example employees have
knowledge to make plan for performing business practices in significant manner as well as have
positive attitude towards meeting with the expectation of customers. This positive attitude of
employees will lead to increase their capability to perform better along with this meet with the
objective of company. Employees have some level of expectation for business and if company is

able to successfully meet with employees expectation then it will lead to increase job satisfaction
of employees and assist in performing required task in better manner. For example, employee
expect support form company for management team when every employees have some issues.
Tesco company is able to successful deal with the issues of employees as well as provide
assistance when employee needed. This helps in successfully meeting with the expectation of
employee form business and they have positive behaviour or attitude towards working with
respective organisation. Environmental factor includes changes in social norm, working
environment and other factors. This will directly impact on capabilities of employees to carry out
business practices in required manner as well as decision making of business. due to changes in
environment respective company will also have to make modification in business plan and
strategies of organisation to conduct task significantly. Environmental factor also includes Tesco
working environment and rules or regulation (Maddens and et.al., 2020). For example, Tesco
company is not supportive for transgender women and it will lead to have direct impact over
behaviour of employees towards business. This will significantly affect over performance of
employees and behaviour towards management as well as staff members.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been analysed that there are several factors which will have
impact on performance and capabilities f business. This consist of personal, environmental and
behaviour factors. it is essential for company to consider these factors in order to take correct
decision as well as increasing overall performance of company. These factors will includes over
learning capabilities of employees as well as adopting changes in significant manner.
