Tesco Plc is a multinational company that operates all over the World. This company is of
British origin with the home branch in Welwyn Garden City of United Kingdom. The company
is in business from the last hundred years ("About us", 2019). Initially the company served as
national one but with time it extended its wings and started to operate internationally. Now the
ownership type of the company is Public Limited one. The number of employee working here
are 460,000 and the estimated revenue is £57,491 million. Now considering the company’s core
principles it can be seen that company gives most importance to its customers. According to the
principles company treats people the way they wanted to be treated even company takes
initiative to make big differences("Our Core Purpose and Values", 2019).
Part 2
a) Tesco in order to be committed by its values and principles have launched fresh products in its
stores so that customers can opt for the healthier choices because as stated in the company’s
value it gives most priority to its customer and hence for the well being of the customers the
company has undertaken such an initiative("Tesco launches ‘Little Helps to Healthier Living’
campaign", 2019). Not only this has the company had adopting low pricing strategy for the fresh
products so that customer can easily buy them. Company has also incorporated health checkups
in its stores. As part of the health campaign company has removed all the foods that have high
sugar, fat and slat contents. Thus it can be said that company has abide by its principles of
serving the customers the best and giving them the high priority.

b) However, there are some events which shows that principles are violated because once due to
technical glitch within the company customers were not served well and this shows evidences of
not abiding by the core principles of serving better its customers("Tesco customers miss out on
deliveries due to tech fault", 2019).
Part 3
The core impact of taking initiative of endorsing healthy products for the customers has
integrated sale of the company because due to this step by the company, consumers trust towards
the organization increases. However due to violation of principle which states that consumers
once was not being able to obtain delivery due to internal problems the impact was eye catching
one because consumer’s visits physically reduced and this influenced the sale of the company.
