strategies to support the financial system in the organisation. They have come up with different
techniques to support the financial state of the business (Rosnizam and et. al.,2020)
Operations- Operations includes all the tasks that are associated with the productions of goods
and services in the business(Holweg and et. al., 2018). They are important in the business
because they plan , execute and manage everything related with the business. In context of
Tesco, their operations department ensures that the inventory is well managed and the products
produced in the industries are of good quality. Operations of Tesco has been expanded in several
countries which help the company in generating huge amount of revenue from overseas countries
(Evans and Mason, 2018).
Human resources- Human resource refers to the people that work in the organisation to achieve
the objectives of the business. The role of this department is to manage the tasks related to the
human workforce, their job is to recruit manpower and training them so that they can contribute
to the organization(Foiji ,Hoque and Khan ,2019). In context of Tesco, their human resource
manager hires the people and trains them to reach the maximum productivity. They are
responsible for directing and motivating the employee towards the organisational goals. Tesco
has employees in huge numbers that operate in several countries across the world. The HR
Manager of Tesco manages the workforce with most efficiency (Yee, Imm and Hwa, 2018).
Importance of these business-functions to work together.
All of these functions needs to work hand in hand because marketing activities require a budget
which is prepared by finance department , Marketing team is hired by the human resource
department and the operation department produces variety of goods which are promoted by the
marketing team. Every department is associated with each other's task which develops inter
connectivity in these functions. These functions will face chaos in case any one of the above
function fails to perform its role in the organisation. The operational department in the business
produces goods which is further proceeded in the market by other departments. Hence the
company is required to manage all these functions in order to bring smoothness in the operations.
CONCLUSION
By above discussion it can be concluded that every business function have their own roles and
responsibilities and the organisation needs to maintain every department to ensure a smooth
functioning of activities. All of these functions working together will help in accomplishment of
the goals of the company.
