TOPIC: Ways to managing cultural diversity at workplace
INTRODUCTION
Diversity means having different types of people which may differ on the basis of age,
gender, ethnicity and others. Having variety of ethnics and cultural groups of people within an
organization is known as cultural diversity (Danso, 2018). It can have several advantages to
companies as by employing people of different culture can bring innovation and different ideas
in their company. It can help them out in taking competitive advantages and accomplishing their
pre-determined goals.
Background of the study
This study is going to show importance of managing cultural diversity in workplace by
companies as how can companies can accomplish their goals. With the help of different views of
author or literature reviews it will also show ways or managing diversity. Further, it will discuss
importance of following all elements of research as well as data collection methods.
Company Overview
This present study is based on Tesco, which is a British multinational groceries and
general merchandise retailer. Headquarter of this retailer is in England. It is founded by Jck
Cohen in 1919. It offers varieties of products and services like food products, electronics, books,
clothing, furniture etc. It has around 6,800 shops with having approximate 450,000 employees.
It is important for this company to manage cultural diversity and manage employees who work
from remote areas.

3. How Tesco can make itself beneficial by managing cultural diversity at its workplace.
4. How Tesco can mange cultural diversity in its organization?
Rationale:
In the context of diversity it can be said that it is the main hot topic which can be used at
academic and other fields. There are several companies who have faced problems and law suit
due to discrimination and unethical practices (Lozano and Escrich, 2017). So, for protecting
companies against such king of law suit, this study is being developed as by developing study on
this topic, people and organizations can be aware about importance of diversity.
Research problem:
Conducting research is not an easy task as there are several external and internal
environmental changes occur. Shortage of time, ineffective human and technical resources, lack
of finance resources can create problems in delay in the submission of the project. It can also
create problems of ineffective project.
Significance
Managing cultural diversity is one of the best topic because if companies understand
about importance of this as well as ways of managing it in their workplace than it can make
several changes. They can motivate their employees, take competitive advantages and bring
innovation in their company. It can only be possible when companies and people have clear
understanding and all informations regarding this (ANJORIN and Jansari, 2018).
