1. Retail is a process of selling goods to customers through a medium of channels to earn the
profit. Retailers are those who fulfil the small or a big order of an individual. Retailing also
occurs through selling directly by using the vending machines, providing door-door sales
or through electric channels. Retailer often names their stores as a wholesale due to which
people think that they might get products at a low price in comparison to the normal stores.
Retail shops are of different types, it may be located in the streets or may be located in the
malls. Fashion retailing refers to a process of selling clothes of the companies to the
retailers at a retail price or a wholesale price. Fashion Retailers knowns about the current
trending designs in the market and the products are bought by the companies four to six
months before they start their sell.
2. I will be looking into TESCO as this is the most success retailer in the world and creates
example for al retail store. If this is not work out then I will be looking for Marks &
spencer’s.
3. The microenvironment factors include customers, competitors, suppliers, employees,
shareholder and media. The microenvironment in marketing includes all the micro factors
that affect the business strategy, performance, decision making.

4. The macro environment factors include political, logical, social, economic, technological,
and environmental.
Political factors- All the political factors like tax policy, labour law, environmental law all
come under this factor. The factors of the company are the changes made by the government
that makes all business environment unsecure. There are taxes and regulations in respect of
packaging and products used.
Economic factors- These include interest rates, economic growth inflation rate. All the
economic factors, which affect the company, comes under this factor. The economic factor that
can affect UK supermarkets is the labour cost.
Social factors- the main social factor is consumers shopping and its changing over time.
Nowadays people have a hectic schedule and they want the delivery of the product on the same
day with a fast delivery process and with a flexible goods return policy.
Technological factors- Technological aspects are included in these factors. The technological
aspects are like automation technology, R&D activity and more. Companies technological
factors are the biotechnological changes in business and another is the online order system.
legal factors- there are many legal factors in a company. The legal factors include all the laws
changes.
5. All theories are very helpful to carry put this project and it gives better result.
6. Past research paper on this subject is very helpful for me to get the exact information about
the particular sector. In addition, organisation also get some idea about the industry from
those.
