There are various business departments in a business and all are interlinked with each other in
some or the other way. Business is run by various department like marketing, finance, operation
management and Human resource. They work well when they are done with linking to each
other. Every department is crucial in business and gives a huge impact on business objectives
and goals which need to be care when working the business. Tesco is one of the leading retailer
in the retail supermarket with majority of share to their name in UK. Tesco focus on all the
department of business which help them in achieving their goals (Khan and et.al., 2019). Tesco
is leading retail industry but on other hand the biggest competitor Tesco has is Sainsburry's.
Sainsburry's is a competitive company which is affecting business of Tesco as it is working in
same retail industry and giving great competition with its strategies and planning in providing
good service to its customer and making Tesco customer switch to them (Rosnizam and et.al.,
2020).
Marketing refer to promoting and selling of products. The importance of marketing is to promote
product and provide awareness on a larger number. Tesco is using one of the best marketing
strategies to promote and sell of products. The role of marketing is to meet the customer needs
and wants, and organizations growth with increasing the market share with new strategies.
Marketing is linked with finance, HR, operations. HR provides the best employees who do good
marketing and finance allot money to spend on promotional activities and operation management
gives the permission and operate the management. Sainsburry's focus in providing best
marketing with its banners and online promotions which is helping company in creating more
awareness of the company in market.
Finance helps in controlling the financial activities of company which are important so that
company does not waste there funds and money. Finance works to control all financial activities
so company can reserve a good amount and put there money on important things. Tesco is strick
to its finance department and have a control on where the company is expanding its money.
Finance is linked with HR and operations as HR provide the candidate which is needed most in
the job role and candidate which is best for the company, And operation in finance is to give
command on where to put efforts. Sainsburry's finance is calculative and expand money on very
calculative ways to have a good strength in company financial strength.

HR works in most important role as they find the best candidates for the company so that they
can get the desire goals and objectives of company. There role is to find the best candidate within
minimum salary which is benefit for company, HR is connected with other departments
marketing helps HR in promoting the vacancies on a bigger level and reaches to majority of
people, Finance helps in funding so that HR can spend on good tools and software and spend
more on marketing (Tjahjadi and et.al., 2019). It is important as good candidates are benefit to
company. Sainsburry's HR are hiring one of the best employees and providing all necessary
development programe to increase there capability.
Operation works to control all the operation activities of business and all those activities which
are connected with business purpose is need to be operated in a way to find if there is anything
wrong is happening. It works to control the business activities. It works in all departments of
business and helps in enhancing business objectives and link every department with each other
and top management. Operation is important so that business activities can be controlled and the
operation work and product can do in the best ways. Sainsburry's operation and manufacturer
are of top level professionals to maintain the standards of the company.
