Tesco is a leading retail firm that offers superior quality products to the consumers at reasonable
price rates. Operations of the organizations were started in the year 1919 and presently it is
serving the customers through 6062 stores. It is fifth largest retailer firm of the world it is
operating in more than 12 countries. It offers electronics, furniture, clothing, food, internet
services, telecom and financial services. International operations of the venture has been spread
in large market areas and it is providing a medium for enhancing the profitability and financial
revenues of the business.
SWOT analysis is defined as instruments which is used for assessing the current performance of
the organization in context of external and internal business environment. According to Gupta,
and Mishra, (2016) SWOT analysis renders an effective medium for evaluating the weak
performing areas of the business. On the basis of identified internal strengths and weaknesses
measures can be taken for making improvements in existing performance of business by
adopting strategic approach. Four key areas under this method includes Strength, Weakness,
Threats and Opportunity.
Tesco is fifth largest retail firm of the world and operations of the enterprise are carried out in 12
countries. Company is known for providing value of money to the consumers by offering
reasonable price products with superior quality. Bryman and Bell, (2015) has mentioned that
