Section Two: Reasons for choosing this research project
Reasons for choosing the project (e.g. links to other subjects you are studying,
personal interest, future plans, knowledge/skills you want to improve, why the topic
is important):
Tesco, which are operating their activity in retail industry. As the competition is
increased in the market at the very high rate. So one of the important topic which
are prevailing in the market is the search of talent management in companies for
making them stronger in market. Tesco build various talent management strategies
which are helpful for them in order to become more successful (Chitu and Russo,
2020). This research is conducting to evaluate the performance of Tesco and their
employees. This research help the investigator to know more about the strategies of
talent management. The main reason to choosing Tesco from talent management,
is the need of human talent within the retail industry are too high. After the

outbreak of covid-19, it is very important for the company to work and manage their
talent management resources.

management are interchangeably, even with being altered purposes. As talent management is the

According to Ghosh, P (2021); talent management is not just a checklist for completing
the requirement and for this companies has to make the complete strategic plan for the
improvement of company.

is depend on their talent management team who are working on them and helpful for improving
their efficiency. The effect of an effective performance and organisational performance will be
helpful for the company to evaluate their performance. So it is very important for the companies
that the HR of the company must know their roles and responsibility with employees

Section Five: Research approach and methodologies
What type of research approach and methodologies are you likely to use and why?
What your areas of research will cover:
Research Philosophy: This is the process and study of collecting and analysing the
data which are helpful in pertaining to a particular research and this is known as
research philosophy. For conducting this research, positivism philosophy has been
used.
Research Approach: This is defined that a plan or techniques are best in order to use
by researcher to complete the research project in the effective and ethical manner.
For the present investigation, inductive research is used as because it will be helpful
for the company and researcher to conduct the study in an effective manner and
gather all the information in an effective manner.
Quantitative methods: Here the research which can be used and defined as a type
of research which involve the data information and their gathering procedure.
Primary and secondary data: In order to collect the information and make the
research in different from others are only with this way. In the present investigation,
both the methods were used in order to conduct the study. For primary the
questionnaire is chosen with the sample size of 50, whereas, for secondary
research, online books, journals, articles and newspaper are being used. Further
some offline books and teacher guidance resource are also used to improve the
quality of research.
Sampling and questionnaire: another important component of the research is to
collect the sample and define the process in selecting the pre-determined number of
different observations from the large populations. For the present research, 50
participants is undertaken for collecting the information.
