working practices of the Tesco in the retail
industry. The representation further explain
about the internal and external factors of the
business which have direct and indirect
impact on business of Tesco.

Development of an understanding of collaborative working
practices
Upper management of Tesco has always required to make such environment within its workplace which encourages to
management of all departmental functions for properly coordinating with another department. Basically, there is no department
of business can achieve better outcome without making collaboration with other departments of business. The values of
collaboration in the business environment of Tesco has been discussed below
When marketing department of company requires some talented and skilled employees in or markers in its workplace, then it
directly contacts to HR department of Tesco for fulfilling this requirement. On the other side, HR department of company also
takes steps towards hiring new people for the marketing department.
In this situation, when production department of company wants to implement some new technologies and machineries in its
workplace, then it contacts to information technology department of the company for implementing these in proper manner.
According to the demand of production department, IT manager of Tesco takes steps towards using identifying key
technologies and machineries for implementing them in the workplace of production department.
There are HR department of company always require to coordinate with finance department of company for properly raising
fund to conduct different HRM practices. On the other side, HR department also take steps towards hiring various employees
or people for finance department. This is how collaboration works in the workplace, and there is not functional department of
Tesco can achieve better outcomes without coordinating and collaborating with other functional department of the company.

make sure they have good strategy to cope up to these threats.
External function is the PESTEL: -
Political: Political factors of the business are the political interference of the government and the policies of the government (Damasceno and Abreu,
2018).
Economical: economic factors are the economic stability of the government which plays important factor in business of the organization.
Social: Social factors are the change of market trends.
Technology: utilisation and adapting of new technologies in the business.
Environment: providing the best of sustainability product and services.
Legal: following all the legal laws and legislation of the country.
