For the purpose of conducting the interview there will be two respondents who will be selected
in the present research report. It includes one female employee and one male employees who are
working at similar levels and at same functional department in TESCO.
Primary method: In the present report there will be use of primary method of collecting
information. It will include a segment of two respondents that includes two employees one
respondents will be male and another respondents will be female. There are five questions that
are include in the report in order to collect the opinion of respondents with respect to various
gender based discrimination issues that are arsing in the organisation.

Respondent 1 (male): No, I have not experienced any type of discrimination in TESCO. I am
associated with working in TESCO for a time period of 3 years but there have been no issues

Respondent 2 (female): Yes, in some instances I have faced some of the issues that are
practised because of gender based discrimination at workplace. Such as while assigning the
regular course of roles and responsibilities for the same job position there are instances where
male employee is given more preferences that affects the morale of female employees in the
organisation.
2) What is the major impact on your functioning levels that may rise if there are high amount of
discriminatory practises in TESCO?
Respondent 1 (male): There will be a complete reduction in the present motivation level of the
employees if there will be large amount of discriminatory practises prevailing in the
organisation.
Respondent 2 (female): If there will be discrimination based on gender. That is if male
employees will be given more preferential treatment then there can be issues that can arise in
the organisation.
3) Do you believe that all the provision that are part of equality act 2010 are being practised in
your organisation across all levels?

includes equality in the formulation of HR policies that is having proper HR enactment.
5) what are various measures that are taken by the organisation in order to deal with the
instances of gender based discrimination at workplace?
Respondent 1 (male): The organisation has ensured that all the provisions that are part of
equality act and other anti discrimination provisions are properly adhered by the top
management at the time of decision making and managing of employees.
Respondent 2 (female): In TESCO organisation is working towards educating the senior
leadership, so that they are able to understand the legal perspective that are associated with
practises of gender discrimination. Training is also emphasised to focus on connection with
employees by having considered the diversity to which we belong. This creates a sense of
belongingness for employees as they are able to relate with the overall organisation functioning
properly implemented in the organisation. I believe that all the provisions that are part of this
