objectives more effectively. Thus, current research is conducted to evaluate the impact of
sustaining innovation on business performance in the automotive industry. The selected
organisation for the current research is Tesla. It is an auto-mobile organisation of United States.
The company was established in 2003 by a group of engineers who wants to prove that people
did not need to compromise to drive electric. That electric vehicles can be quicker, better as well

this tends to ensure to solution of research problems and issues in an appropriate way. Further,

In general, two major methods are included in research methodology such as qualitative
and quantitative. Here, quantitative method is based on analyzing facts and information in
numerical way by using statistical and mathematic tools which support easy representation of the
data. In contrast, qualitative method is all about collecting in-depth and detailed information to
develop significant knowledge base regarding the topic (Rosskam, 2018). In present case,
selected method is qualitative as it supports effective and appropriate review of the topic.
Moreover, it also helps in gathering and analyzing the information in detailed manner so that
researcher can successfully attain the set project aims & objectives.
Data collection methods:
Data is an imperative part of the overall project as it proves useful in completing the
research project in timely manner. For this purpose, there are two methods of data collection like
primary and secondary. In case of primary method of data collection, information is directly
taken from participants that is completely raw and authentic. On the other hand, secondary
source is all about collecting wide range of information from ample of sources like websites,

secondary sources have been chosen as it will help in collection and analysis of information in
cost effective manner base on pre-defined facts. Further, it also leads towards creation of better

Data collection instruments:
Basically, it refers to the tools and instruments that are used for the purpose of collecting
data. Main aim of adopting data collection instruments is to make the project simpler for
investigator and readers as well. Here, the major tools of data collection are observation, survey,
case study and more (Ross and Call-Cummings, 2020). In present context, case study has been
used for collecting information. A case study is likely to include and support intensive set of
study regarding an individual, group of people that aims to build generalization of facts in an
efficient manner. Further, use of case study as a data collection tool is justifiable as it supports
systematic investigation regarding particular aspect therefore, supports better analysis and
evaluation in future period of time.

Reliability and Validity:
To maintain validity and reliability of the study, it is imperative to make use of authentic
sources which might include various sources like websites, articles, journals and other literature
that have been written by various authors and publishers. In this context, the researcher is likely
to include content that is properly cited from well-known publishers in order to conduct evidence
based study in an efficient manner. Here, authenticity and validity is highly imperative for the
project report as it helps in getting better & appropriate response significantly (Rodrigues and
Rosa, 2019). Further, the present study tend to be highly reliable in terms of using valid &
authentic information. This data can be used for further investigation regarding similar topic or
other related topic as it is based on use of authentic and reliable sources as the information has
proper copyright and proof of validity of information.
Ethics:
At the time of performing and leading of a research study, it is imperative to follow
suitable ethical principles to fulfil the pre-defined research goals in successful manner. The
major key-consideration of existing project is following principle of confidentiality, anonymity
and more to ensure the privacy and security of the information regarding the data of selected
respondents. Therefore, it is imperative for the researcher to make sure that all the data of
respondents is protected and safe in an efficient manner (Tayebi Abolhasani, 2019). Further, it is
also imperative to maintain the privacy of information and data. It will help the researcher to
complete the research project in ethical and fair manner. In this regard, they are likely to follow
data protection act in order to ensure safety of the data and information of respondents.
Limitation of research:
Every research report has certain limitations in terms of use of data, method, lack of
resources and more. Here, limitation has direct impact over the outcomes of research project
(Walker, Lin and McCline, 2018). In current context, key limitation is related to limited
availability of resources and funds which has been reduced the scope of project. In addition,
there is other limitation is time consuming while making selection of suitable articles and
journals to include adequate amount of information in research report.
