that were imported from the foreign lands (Boag and Holland 2016). The company in its initial
days was based in the city of Jerusalem. The company is in its present days known to have been
manufacturing the various pharmaceutical products. The following essay deals with the self-
reflection summary based on the presentation of the various strategic changes that had ben
observed in the given pharmaceutical company, Teva Pharmaceuticals.
Teva Pharmaceuticals has been dealing with the marketing of the various pharmaceutical
products within the country of Israel. The company, initially an organization dealing in the
distribution of the various medicines that were imported from the foreign lands, was based in the
city of Jerusalem. The company, founded in the year 1901, is in its present days known to have
been manufacturing the various pharmaceutical products. The company is known to have been
involved in the manufacturing of the products since the 1930s. The company had faced a huge
boost during the Second World War. The company had during this time helped the allied troops
by providing them with the needed medicines and the other medical supplies that were required
by the various troops. The company was listed in the stock exchange of Israel in the year 1951.
The company is known to be one of the major generic companies of the world that deals in
medical supplies and pharmaceutical products.
Our research also helped us reveal the fact that the concerned company in discussion,

company in discussion, Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries limited had generated a total revenue of
about 19.7 billion dollars in the fiscal year of 2015 (Tevapharm.com 2018).
The researches that were undertaken by us for the completion of the given project
revealed that the company has faced several changes in the topmost leadership within the
country. the researches revealed that within a short span of nearly 2 years the company, Teva
Pharmaceuticals Industries limited had faced the change in the chief executive officers. Three
different people had played the role of the chief executive officer of the company in the short
span of 2 years. This had 1affected the operations of the given organization. The changes in the
leadership of the organization tends to affect the overall performance of the organization (Lee,
Mauer and Xu 2018). The changes in the leadership of the company had led to the introduction
of the newer strategies within the organization (Li, Qiu and Shen 2018). These newer strategies
had also helped in the matters that have been related to the growth and the improvement of the
overall performance of the company in discussion, Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries limited.
The researches that had been undertaken by us helped in the discovery of the fact that the
growth in the Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries limited might be highly accredited to the
acceptance of the various decisions and the strategies that were put forth and adopted by the
chief executive officers of the organization. The researches for the assignment bear the strength
in the fact that the researches were sound and helped us together more information on the
concerned company. the researches that were undertaken by us tended to help us gain more
knowledge on the matters that are related to the knowledge of the concerned business decisions

and their effects on the functional business organizations (Lebedev et al. 2015). The researches
also helped us understand the helpfulness and the importance of the acquisitions for the company
in discussion, Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries limited. The composition of the presentation on
the strategies adopted by the Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries limited has helped us gain
knowledge on the benefits of the business activity of acquisition (Schmidt 2015). The researches
had revealed the fact that the concerned organization in discussion, Teva Pharmaceuticals
Industries limited, had benefitted majorly from the acquisition of the competitor company
Allergen, Cephalon and other such minor organizations.
The researches had further revealed the fact that the organization needs to spare more
strategic activities in the matters that are related to the overall improvement of the performance
of the organization. The company should also focus on the various growth strategies that might
help in the improvement of the competitive advantage of the company in the given market. The
completion of the assignment also involved a lot of challenges on our part. One of the major
challenges that we faced were related to the extensive amount of research that was required. The
extensive nature of the research had almost made us lose hope of the completion of the
assignment within the given deadline. The compiling of the collected information had also posed
to be a challenge for us. The vast range of information gathered was the challenge. We had to
categorize and summarize the information within the given time frame of the presentation which
had itself proven to be a humongous task.
The project has helped me to learn the helpfulness and the importance of the acquisitions
and other growth strategies within the given business scenarios. The completion of the project
has also helped me learn the fact that the various growth strategies help in the improvement of
